I can access it just fine right now...even uploaded a torrent which I intend to seed. In case anyone wants to know what torrent I uploaded, it's for Farewell Firefly ep 9 (Ruroshin, just a heads up that you need this, since you only have ep 1-8 so far)

for the moment I've moved d-addicts back to its old host. I don't know whats going on with the new host, can't access my account over there anymore and my email and IM hasn't been responded to so far.

Hmm still can't get in myself. I guess Heaven's Coins Ep 9 and Kougen E Irrashai will be postponed until further notice

I'm afraid if D-Addicts work for some, but not for others, I can't see what else Ruroshin can do. I don't think it's anything on his end. Best thing to do is to read the previous postings and follow the suggestions made by vibius about refreshing the DNS cache, manually editing the HOSTS file with the static IP address, etc. --- groink

To summarize the situaiton going on with D-Addicts and JDorama.com... Close to 24 hours ago (as of this writing), the server hosting both the messageboards for D-Addicts.com and JDorama.com was down. Later in the day, I contacted Ruroshin via e-mail, and he said the server went down, and that he called the facility where that hosts the server to see what was up. JDorama.com just came back online no more than 2 hours ago. And, as of right now, D-Addicts.com is up and running. D-Addict's BitTorrent tracker runs on a totally different site, so the tracker should still be functional as of right now. However, obviously you can't enable new BT connections without the torrents. You really should be saving the torrents to your hard disk in case of times like this. --- groink

Maybe I'm mistaken, but are jdorama and d-addicts on the same server? So if one goes down, the other would follow?

In theory, yes, it actually makes no sense, does it? However, it's the best they can do right now. There are other drama-related trading sites like JTV and FSS that could possibly host a status topic for them. Actually, the abmj newsgroup come in handy in situations like these... We were able to communicate via that vehicle during the outage.

man, i am soooo glad you guys are both back up. i was going through withdrawals. when i saw that jdorama, d-addicts, sars-fansubs, and others ALL went down at the same time, i really thought that the mpaa was after you guys. but why would they go after jdorama?? it made more sense that they went down because they were all on the same server.

at least i know somebody feels me on that tip...when i couldn't access any of those websites i was like what tha fu....especially after reading the news of the lawsuits being served on bitTorrent servers.
