Just want to remind everyone that JDorama has its own Last.fm group. If you have an account, join and I'll add you to the group. What's Last.fm you ask? It's a social networking site based around the music you listen to. If you've always wanted to see statistics on what you listen to and how much you listen to music. http://www.last.fm/group/JDorama

I've just joined last.fm, but it isn't logging anything I play. I understand they are having a lot of technical problems at the moment though, so I'm hoping that's the reason, rather than my ineptitude. That's me - http://www.last.fm/user/UKokapi/

Don't like the idea of program loggin my stuff very much, but anyways I created account too (http://www.last.fm/user/BoX__/). Looks like it's working ok, showing my recent tracks etc... _________________

Yeah, it seems like Last.fm is having technical problems right now, so that could be the problem. But it should be working, since it's correctly logging my songs.

^Hahaha, yea, now I'm waitnig for RIAA agents to knock on my door and bust me for pirating Britney Spears "music" btw. I'm listening to online radio via winamp and last.fm doesn't log this songs _________________

But I got my bf to look at it, and he fixed it for me. Yay!

Oh, I am having a bit of a problem with the song titles...my last.fm can't seem to read Japanese text.
I've got Gackt songs listed, but the Japanese is like ????????
I don't understand why, as my computer can read Japanese text fine ordinarily.

Hehe, nice to see you got it working for you. Smile

As for the Japanese not displaying correctly, it's probably because your songs are encoded in S-JIS or EUC (old standards that the Japanese STILL cling on to like their lives depended on it) and not in the generally accepted format (in the West anyways) of UTF-8. But you would think that Last.fm would have a automatic converter for that. Head Scratch

eightysix - thank you for the explanation. It really is surprising that a site as big as Last.fm has this problem... I've looked around, but can see nothing I can do to fix it. I'll probably have a moan at the site admin and see what they have to say.
