nice...i think the "food court" is one of the traditional favorites. all children of the earth love takoyaki.
You got that right. It was the longest line for food and most of the people in line were teenagers. It was my first time eating takoyaki, and I must say, it's soooo yummy. I've never seen it served in restaurants before. _________________

cool...i'm glad you liked it....it's always fun to have novel experiences, especially with regard to food...i won't lie...i've never had takoyaki in the states...just once when i when i went on my trip to japan....it's a favorite snack food in japan (of course)...i believe it's more popular in the Osaka area as opposed to Tokyo....
welps, sounds like it was a highlight for you and your bro.....lucky for you guys ^_^

i remember last year, waiting in line for some food at the Japan expo, i forgot exactly what it was, i think some mochi and tea.....about a 30 min wait...
I almost got some Takoyaki at Mitsuwa today, but decided not to get it from the bento food area of the market.
The Takoyaki that i had in Kyoto, was delicious!....Nishiki Market.
dood i bet! as i mentioned i think takoyaki is a kansai specialty so i can imagine eating it in Kyoto was a memorable experience.
i do recall, that they are larger in size, and so darn fresh..the tako....i forgot the actual price in yen...and if i took photos of it...Nishiki mkt, i hope i can find time to go again next trip.

i can only imagine how delicious it was...given the japanese penchant for good tasting food....i envy what must have been a tasty dining experience.
all things considered, i'm sure it was a fairly inexpensive...but more importantly....it tasted dayem good! those little things, often times, tend to be the most memorable experiences when indulging in the culture of another country.

I did end up going this afternoon, got really fascinated watching this Japanese woman that looked like she was about 130 years old (and she might have been!) doing calligraphy.

I didn't go this year. I'm a USC alumnus and there was a little football game that I was interested in watching on Saturday. I needed Sunday to take care of all the stuff I didn't get done on Saturday. _________________
