According to reports, the couple broke up during the summer due to their busy schedules. Nagase has been extremely busy with TOKIO�fs regular TV programs and music activities. He will also be playing the lead role in NTV�fs upcoming drama series. At the same time, Aibu�fs acting career has been going favorably well. Last year, she starred in NTV�fs �eKaseifu no Mita�e, and this year, she starred in Fuji TV�fs �eRich Man, Poor Woman�e.

The two started dating after co-starring in a drama back in 'Utahime'. On �eKohaku Uta Gassen�e in 2009, Nagase had confirmed that their relationship was going well, but denied that they would be getting married anytime soon.

Saki Aibu to study in United States

On March 26th, it was revealed that actress Aibu Saki will do a short-term study abroad in the United States. According to her agency, Aibu will study English at an university in California from April to August of this year.

Aibu has had an interest in studying English. She even gave a speech in English when she participated in the �eAnime Expo�e in Los Angeles back in 2010.

The day before, Aibu tweeted about the study abroad, saying, �gI will let everyone know once it�fs been decided.�h

Saki Aibu to star in WOWOW drama "Garasu no Ashi"

Aibu Saki will be starring in the new WOWOW drama "Garasu no Ashi" (The Glass Reed) which is due to be shown from 21 February in the Saturdays 10pm timeslot. In this drama adapted from Naoki Award winner Sakuragi Shino's same-titled novel set in Kushiro, Hokkaido, Aibu will take on the role of Setsuko, a woman who had been raised by an abusive mother and later marries her mother's lover. However, even after getting married, Setsuko is involved with another man and eventually kills her mother and other people.

Filming begins around the 20th of this month.

As Aibu has been taking on baddie roles of late which had gained her quite a bit of attention, she said that she is fine with the intimate scenes but finds it difficult to imagine having to kill her mother like Setsuko does. In addition, she finds the idea of having an extramarital affair unacceptable so these are the emotional hurdles she has to overcome while playing her character.

Saki Aibu to star in NHK drama "Kari Kare"

Aibu Saki will star in the new NHK drama "Kari Kare" (Temporary Boyfriend) which begins its run from 3 November in the Tuesdays 11.15pm timeslot. The title of the drama refers to the temporary boyfriends who women have while still being on the search for the man of their dreams but with time and age not being on their side.

The drama which consists of 8 episodes, features Aibu as Toyoshima An, a 29-year-old woman who works as a team leader in the e-commerce company "Horizon" that boasts of having more than 100 million types of merchandise on its portal. She is focused on building her career and doesn't mince her words when dealing with others. On the other hand, Nakagoshi Noriko plays Harada Miki who is 38 years old and has been restricted to admin work since she joined "Horizon" and is the silent supporter for her colleagues in the office. Although An has a boyfriend (Tsukamoto Takashi), she doesn't disclose their relationship to the people around them because she regards him as a temporary boyfriend who is there to fill in the gap when people ask about her dating status but she has no intention of marrying him. As for Miki, she had a boyfriend for 10 years but was dumped before getting married. An is then handed the impossible task of handling a new project and achieving the goal within 2 months with Miki and her boyfriend as her teammates who aren't very dependable as she tries to find true love while ensuring that her career doesn't get affected. Co-stars include Shirasu Jin, Furuhata Seika, Tanaka Naoki, Kinami Haruka, Mashima Hidekazu and Akiyama Natsuko.

Saki Aibu announces her marriage

Aibu Saki issued a statement through her agency on 3 May in which she announced her marriage to her boyfriend on the same day. In the handwritten statement sent to the media via fax, Aibu revealed that she had met her husband through mutual friends which led to them becoming an item. At the end of last year, he proposed to Aibu which she accepted. She commented that her husband is someone who has been very patient with her all this while and hopes that the two of them will build a happy and loving family from now on.

Aibu was rumoured to have marriage plans last summer as reported in some weekly magazines to which she commented that she did have the intention to do so one day but denied that it would be around that time.

Saki Aibu is pregnant with her first child. According to her agency, she is due sometime in the Fall and will continue working while monitoring her condition.

As is usual now, no mention of birthdate or gender. I can kind of understand not giving out the birthdate, but why no gender? Sooner or later they're going to have to take the kid out in public and everyone will know then. I don't understand it.
