"Hikaru" as written by 100aw is the Kanji version, and so are the rest for "Michi".

For their meanings, you may want to use the dictionary. Just copy the Kanji character(s) into the search box, select "Dictionary" and "Japanese SJIS". If you can't get any results, try searching character by character. You will probably get a whole list of terms with that character.

katakana is english written in jpnese
hiragana is those jpnese words..
kanji is traditional chinese

erm..turn into boxes..maybe your web browser doesnt support jpnese..try to enable it at View > encoding > jpnese

Perhaps you could tone down on the quoting. If you really need to quote the message, take out the unnecessary parts. Try not to leave the entire message history in your post as it gets very big and difficult to read.

That sentence is correct. But your first line should be "gomen" instead of "gome". The kanji for "gomen" is ���. Try checking the dictionary.

I only know the basics. Studied for a few months til I got my JLPT4. Try to develop this practice of looking up words as u encounter them in watching dramas. It helps you build your vocabulary.

There are 4 levels, 4 being the easiest, and 1 the most difficult.

Knowing Mandarin actually confuses some, coz some Kanji is written with subtle differences from Mandarin. Furthermore, the meanings of the Kanji and its Mandarin equivalents are not always the same too.

i planned to study in teikyo institute after my o'lvl here..
but seems like it's not a good idea after all..
have to study jpnese language for 15months n later on study science subs in jpnese for 2 years i think..
if the result is good then i'll have a chance to further my studies in jpn..
but accomodation n stuff not provided...
what do u guyz think huh?
