Kobukuro to kick off nationwide tour next May

Kobukuro will be holding a nationwide tour starting next May.

The tour will be held to coincide Kobukuro's new album "One Song From Two Hearts" which will be released on December 18th. It will kick off on May 17th, and they will hold a total of 14 shows in Hiroshima, Nagoya, Yokohama, Fukuoka, Saitama, and Osaka. Like last year, the finale will be held at Kyocera Dome.

Tickets to the general public will go on sale on March 29, 2014. Prior to this, advance reservations will start on the 13th of this month.

Kobukuro to release NHK Sochi Olympics single

Kobukuro will release their new single "Ima, Sakihokoru Hanatachi yo" on February 19.

The title track was created as the theme song for the NHK broadcast of the 'Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics', which will be held in Russia this February. The duo has already performed this song at the '64th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen' on New Year's Eve. Aside the title track, the single will contain the instrumental version of the song.

To coincide with the release of their new album "One Song From Two Hearts" and new single "Ima, Sakihokoru Hanatachi yo", Kobukuro will be embarking on a nationwide tour, 'KOBUKURO LIVE TOUR 2014', in May.

Kobukuro to hold acoustic tour

Kobukuro will be holding an acoustic hall tour called 'KOBUKURO ACOUSTIC HALL TOUR 2014' starting in November.

Since the end of last year, Kobukuro have been holding various street lives and free lives, as well as concerts at orchestra halls. This time, they will be holding an acoustic tour as they wanted to "deliver the live music of Kobukuro". Tickets will go on sale to the general public on October 4.

Kobukuro to hold their biggest tour in 2015

Kobukuro has announced that they will hold their nationwide tour 'KOBUKURO LIVE TOUR 2015' starting in April of 2015.

The duo is also scheduled to hold their hall tour 'KOBUKURO Acoustic Twilight Tour 2014', which will host 8 shows in 4 locations, starting in November. For their 2015 tour, they will perform 24 shows in 8 locations, making this their biggest tour schedule yet in their career. The tour website will begin accepting ticket pre-reservations from fan club members on October 22.

Kobukuro tor release new single in March

Kobukuro will release their new single "Kiseki" on March 4.

The title track of this single will be used as the theme song for TV Asahi's new drama 'DOCTORS 3 Saikyou no Meii' (January 8 premiere) starring Sawamura Ikki. Kobukuro wrote this new song after watching the previous seasons of 'DOCTORS Saikyou no Meii'.

As the coupling track, the single will contain "Twilight", which served as the theme song for Aragaki Yui's starring film 'Twilight Sasara Saya', and "Shinkokyuu", which was used as a CM song for the Japanese convenience store 'Seicomart' and Miyagi's wedding company 'MJQ'. The limited edition DVD will contain footage from their acoustic tour 'KOBUKURO Acoustic Twilight Tour 2014' held last year.

Kobukuro announce 2016 tour schedule

Kobukuro have unveiled their tour schedule for 2016.

The upcoming tour kicks off on August 27th at Makomanai Sekisui Heim Ice Arena in Hokkaido. It will include their first Budokan live in about 5 years, as well as stops that weren't included in last year's tour, such as Ehime and Miyazaki. The tour will run until the end of the year with a finale at Kyocera Dome Osaka.

Kobukuro to release new album 'Timeless World'

Kobukuro will release a new album, titled 'Timeless World' on June 15.

This will mark Kobukuro's first new album in about two and a half years. It will feature a total of 15 tracks, including "Mirai", the theme song for the movie "orange" released last December, and "STAGE", which was written as the theme song for the upcoming drama "Keischicho - Sousa Ikkachou" (premieres April 14 on TV Asahi).

The album is named after "NAMELESS WORLD", Kobukro's album released in December 2005. The jacket covers for the two albums have Ebisubashi in Osaka, where the duo once held street lives, as the motif.
