Yeah, I saw the posts about this drama in the "Dramas you are currently watching" thread. I'll watch this along with Tiger & Dragon. _________________

I've just started watching Kekkon Dekinai Otoko and my first thought was: Shinsuke is a horribly obnoxious person. He's definitely eccentric, terribly blunt - so much so that I was left wondering whether he's quite capable of interacting with other people without annoying them, and has such exacting standards. Yet despite his insufferable character, idiosyncracies and posturing, his awkwardness and loneliness makes it easy to sympathise with him.
I'm really curious to know what made him fall for Natsumi, how he'll pursue her and her reaction to being the object of his desire because they definitely didn't have very good impressions of each other after the end of the first episode. It must have been humiliating for him to have his pants down!
Abe Hiroshi's portrayal of Shinsuke was really amusing. And it's nice seeing Tsukamoto Takashi again after Meitantei Akafuji Takashi. This must be one of the better dramas this dismal summer.

The more I watch this, the more I think Shinsuke and Michiru's Ken-chan seem to have similar features. Perhaps that's why Ken-chan's so taken with Shinsuke.

this show definitely gets better the more you watch it, and i really can't think of a better actor to play this besides abe hiroshi. he's great as "weirdos"! even the way he walks in the show exuberates that awkwardness of shinsuke.
This is the best dorama! I can't wait for the next one, but too bad it's already the finale. I wish it would go on longer. Abe Hiroshi is perfect in the role. So funny... It doesn't seem like much happens in the story, but all I know is that I have enjoyed every minute of it and have looked forward to the next episode.
