1)Shomuni

Only watched one episode and couldn't stand it though there is potential for it to be pretty funny. The 1st episode was boring and the actresses were not good looking.

2)Hero

Watched 10 episodes. The best episode was the one where they had a new law clerk. The other good one was the one where Hiroshi Abe caught the criminal. The writing for this drama IMO is poor and the way they solve the cases was very boring. Points for the best jdorama intro ever though.

3)Overtime

Watched 3 episodes and really cannot stand it. Basically a remake of Love Generation with different characters. The main female, Esumi Makiko (i think) is not pleasing to my eyes. If the main actress looked betetr, then at least the slow and boring story would be bearablle.

4)Love and Fight

Only watched 1 episode which was more than enough. Anime type comedy but not funny at all.

5)Sensei Shiranaino

Can't remember much only I vowed not to get the rest after watching 1st episode. Reviews on this site say its good, but then most said Hero was good.

6)Virgin Road

I watched the whole thing cause I had downloaded most of it earlier without watching. Very, very corny romance, especially the situations with the contact lense. Saved by the father's superb acting in the end.

Hero has to be one of the more boring dramas I've watched. I like Kimura Takuya in SMAP but not when he's acting....the cases were uninteresting....character interaction was also uninteresting.

Food Fight was another not so good drama - it kind of got a bit repeititive and there was absolutely no chemistry between Kusanagi and kyoko fukada's characters. I enjoy Kusanagi acting but Kyoko was so awful acting (one expression throughout the entire drama).

That's about it - most other dramas I've watched I enjoyed....

it has to be overtime... you guys can't imagine how many weeks it took me to finish that drama... it was so boring.............

didn't like it at all. hated the story. the only thing that caught my attention was Miho Nakayama's beautiful, straight, long hair which pretty much started all the hair rebonding craze.

only watched 1 ep. and i hated it. the vcds are still sitting in the cupboard. don't feel like watching it any time soon.
din like it cos' of Yuki Uchida's acting.
may change my mind when i finally bring up my courage to finish the whole series. but i really don't know when that will be.

Its a very good drama, especially ep6. IMO, it did well what Hero tried to do which was focus on a profession and the characters in it while having hardly any romance. Its very well written and every episode more or less stands by itself so that you don't need to watch it in chronological order, except maybe the last episode which isn't out yet.

Ao no Jidai - Wow, the first half was sooo great and Tsuyoshi did so well playing the part of Ryu. Then the last 4 episodes were way too creepy and corny with the "Dr Jekyll Mr Hyde" thing with Ryu's lawyer. It was a really horrible ending as well.

Me too who found Big Wing is very boring, though Kassy was in it.

I respect everyones opinion about how boring SOS and Hero

but for me their good.

SOS was good although the story of a brother overprotecting his sister because his in love with her is a very common story in movies and novels, what i like about it is the actors and how they portray their part, and also the sudden twist in the ending of the story.

Hero is a very common investigatory drama or series the suspects are very easy to distinguish unlike the CSI. What i like about it is the lessons you'll absorb on it, career vs. conciense ( i hope i got the spelling right).

What i didn't find interesting is To Heart (no offense for fukyakyon fans) I just had enough of kyoko fukada (miura toko) shouting tokeida yuji. Although the story is not that bad but its sometimes iritating.

SOS and Shomuni are 2 of my favorite dramas. Yeah, Fukada Kyoko is not the best actor, but the lead male character played his part so well, I couldn't stop watching.

Shomuni was so great since it's the best parody of the Japanese work environment I've seen to date. I guess if you know nothing about the Japanese workplace, it might not seem so exciting.

I like them both better than Long Vacation. I also think "Beautiful Life" and "Le Bel Homme" are much better also.

Oh well, I guess my opinion is not part of the majority........

not exactly drama, I didnt particularly like fox w/ 9tails kmovie.

SOS - I liked it but i dont say its a very good one.

Golden Bowl - I didnt like this very much. the starting was very bad it bored me. Maybe this is because i watched this after watching Long Vacation

Hero - was bit boring one.

Shomuni - was OK.

Wat about Virgin Road???? - coz i'm downloading it right now.

Dessin was pretty damn boring, IMO. I fell asleep during the first episode. Keep in mind that I made TWO attempts to watch it, and it bored me so much I just zonked out both times. I've seen quite a bit of dramas so maybe I'm picky now, but anyway, that's one that I remember not being able to get through. I probably have a list of more, but when I remember them, I'll post them

Everyones taste is different, I would suggest to watch everything which sounds interesting for you, so you can build up your own mind.
However nice topic to see who doesn't like which Drama and why.
I liked all my Dramas I got yet, since I'm only getting those sounding interesting for me (Otherwise would be hard for me to catch up) so no bad experience yet

hehehe. that is quite true!!!
I just posted in 'what dramas are you currently watching thread' that big wing is a good series and curse_within has it listed as dramas not worth watching.
I guess the best approach would be download all the first episodes you can find and watch it. then u can decide to continue with the series or not.

only if it is available for download. i've bought some jdramas based on good reviews here but found it not to my liking. since u've spent your hard-earned cash on something which u're not going to finish it, u'll feel truly disappointed.
