Yukan Club- Almost forgot this one! I actually watched the whole thing. |
I too was annoyed with the shu cream scenes.
Yukan Club is absolutely horrendous. I'm surprised you watched the whole thing.

This was the most painful part of that drama. Otherwise, I really enjoyed it. I wonder why they dragged that storyline so damn long.

Yeah, I liked it too, but I think the preachy "keep the earth clean or the future will suffer" conclusion was a bit of a cop-out to me. And very PSA-ish.

I would've been bored without Nakatsu. He MADE that drama. If it wasn't for his character, I might have put that drama in this thread. _________________

You can judge for yourself...
The plot just wore thin on me and started to grind like fingernails on a chalkboard.

I don't need a shield, I need a muzzle and straitjacket. Or just an anti-rabies shot, on my more lucid days.

My brain tuned out to that drama as soon as it became (painfully) clear that Tsumabuki Satoshi was not an integral part of the cast... So I submit to your better judgment re that dratted little letter. And if there was indeed a deeper metaphysical truth to the story, it was prolly hiding in that tangled overgrowth that Kubokuza Yosuke passed off as his "hair," ne?

Hahahahahaha you're so right!!!!

I'm being extra hard on Maki because after seeing her in NwP, I thought she had something going for her. Guess not. So I'll set my expectations very, very low so I can be very, very nice to her in the future, ne? Toma was fun and funny, but I didn't find Shun dull at all! I thought he provided that emotional anchor in a drama saturated with inanity. Or mebbe I was just blinded by that *cough* mostly shirtless *cough* athletic physique of his..

Too late! That's what I'm watching now!

Hopefully that's because almost nobody has ever seen it. Nagasawa as a machine gun toting yakuza. I'd love to have been at the meeting when this was pitched and somebody said, "Yeah, that's a great idea!" |
Wow. To be saccharine AND trigger-happy at the same time. Almost as believable as YamaPi's Flying Doctor turn in CODE BLUE (subtitled THE PECS OF LIFE!!!)...
Though to be honest, Nagasawa as "machine gun toting yakuza" = Nagasawa as battered girlfriend = Nagasawa as best friend secretly in love with YamaPi = Nagasawa as Mayor of Ouagadougou = Nagasawa as Supreme Allied Commander, ad infinitum.

I think she did well in Yasashii Jikan too.
On topic: Teppan Shoujo Akane ( I think I messed up the title )
My love for okonomiyaki couldn't stop me from deleting this drama out of my h/drive.

I think I have to agree with Esther on this one. I cringed whenever she was on screen in this drama. _________________

Now there is one drama, which in my humble opinion, fits this thread: Orthros no Inu. Only saw one episode but itLs bad, bad, bad, even before Takky appears so itLs clearly not his fault. |
Yes, agree with that it was really bad up to ep4 but after that it got much better. like someone fired all directors/writers and hired new crew. i nearly gave up after ep1 but kept watching because Takky was looking really fine but Nagasawa masami stayed annoying untill last ep. _________________

I think Issy has them mixed up because we were discussing Nagasawa Masami in the post above
