Yes, I totally agree!!! He looks so good in whatever he wears. I just realised that Takuya has acted in such veried range of professions...doctor, prosecutor, architect... and of cos he does it so well!!!

Heard from his concet reports that he will be acting in a period drama special at the end of this year. Can't wait for it!!! The last one he acted in was so long ago but it was good.

The first part of Long Vacation is really funny. I missed it too when it was shown on tv but I went to buy the vcd after the first episode. Anyway, the first episode shows Minami rushing to Sena's apartment all dressed up in the formal Japanese wedding gown and looking for the groom (the groom used to stay in that apartment too) who left her at the alter. Somehow, she ends up moving in too which kinda marks the start of their relationship. The rest of the episode just introduces the different characters, like Momoko (Minami's friend and fellow model), Ryoko (the girl Sena likes) and Minami's brother...

A REALLY Great show! One of the best in the history of JDorama. You should consider getting the vcd.

I have watched Beautiful Life, Hero, Love generation, Gift, Long Vacation and Sleeping Forest. Takuya look really cool in Sleeping Forest.

But for all dorama Takuya acted, i think Love Generation is the best.

HERO will be showing in Singapore Channel 8 starting 13 September 2001 (10pm every Thursday). Should come with English sub title. Enjoy.......... I will probably watch it again eventhough I have already done so...

I know Kimura Takuya been the no.1 superstar in Japan for quite some years now. People commend his acting skills and multiple talents. I can see why and understand that. But I also notice how many people say he's so handsome and that he has been given titles such as "the face of the decade". Well THAT's what I can't understand.

Overall he looks about above average (still not great). But if you would point out seperate feautures then it is even harder to understand why people find him so handsome:
He's got a big nose and on the side it is not straight (which is usually an important aspect to beauty) but slightly angled. He's also got those 2 deep grooves/wrinkles next on the sides of his nose (everyone has them, but not quite as deep as he has) which makes him look older than he is (he's always had those even in his younger years). His legs are to be honest on the short side and very thin (how'd he ever win the best looking male in jeans prize so many years in a row?). I also doubt that the profiles shown on the web saying that he's 1.76 cm are correct, because he looks rather short and small in pictures/scenes showing his full posture. Asians also have a reputation of cheating a bit with the height of idols (I'm asian too and simply telling the truth).
Seeing his full posture, you'll also see that his head is pretty big. Maybe it's because of his hair, but it doesn't change much from the sight of a big head...
Kimura Takuya is one of my favorite actors because his skills are up there with top notch Hollywood actors, BUT he's simply not as handsome as all the hype makes him out to be. Attractiveness (he's multi-talented) is mistaken for beauty in this case...

Living in Sweden as I do there is no chance they will show japanese doramas.
