I guess because Takki's concert is tonight? that's why people talk about him not Tsubasa, and Tsubasa has been rather quiet eversince.

Tsubasa's ROCK N DANCE DVD is out today, while Takki's new single titled Hikari Hitotsu, the theme song to his current drama, Orthros no Inu will be out on Sept 23rd.

Tsubasa Imai's First Solo Single

Tsubasa Imai, member of popular Johnny's duo Tackey&Tsubasa, has announced the release of his first single for February 24th.

Tsubasa made the first move of his solo career with the release of a live DVD in September last year, more than half a year after his group mate Takizawa Hideaki debuted with his first solo single, Ai Kakumei, which came out in January.

BACKBORN, as the single is titled, features a strong number with a theme based around the mixture of the words "backbone" and "born". The release will also feature the up-tempo song Kimi to nara as the b-side and will be available to purchase in three editions.

Two limited versions of the single will go on sale: one with a DVD including the PV for BACKBORN and off-shot footage, and the other edition including a 52-page photobook instead. The CD-only edition will feature an additional third track called [ASAP].

Tackey & Tsubasa's new album to have the theme 'entertainment'

Tackey & Tsubasa will release a new album on December 3.

The album will have the theme "TakiTsuba Entertainment" featuring a variety of genres from rock to disco to Latin to Showa music. It will be released in 4 different versions: Limited Edition A, Limited Edition B, Regular Edition, and TakiTsuba SHOP Edition.

Additionally, Tackey & Tsubasa will hold a live tour in December. After holding 2 shows at Orix Theater on December 10, the duo will hold a 2-concert at Yokohama Arena on December 13 and 14.

Tackey & Tsubasa release 2nd video collection

Tackey & Tsubasa will release their 2nd PV collection "Taki Tsuba CLIPS Two" on March 25th.

The duo's last PV collection "Taki Tsuba CLIPS" was released about 8 years ago, in March of 2007. Their upcoming release will include their PVs from 2007's ""�~~Dame~ / Crazy Rainbow" to last year's "Dakinatsu", along with a PV for "Giramera" in which Takizawa Hideaki served as director and Imai Tsubasa as costume producer.

This PV collection will be Tackey & Tsubasa's first Blu-ray release. The limited edition will come with a DVD including the acoustic version of "Koiuta".

Tackey & Tsubasa announce their disbanding

Tackey & Tsubasa have disbanded as of September 10th.

Tackey & Tsubasa temporarily halted their activities last year at the time of their 15th year debut anniversary. Takizawa will retire from show business at the end of the year and will work developing new talents under Johnny's & Associates president Johnny Kitagawa.

Imai will continue to work to recover from Meniere's disease (vertigo, ringing in the ears) from which he currently is suffering.
