From what I know, Ryoko Yonekura plays Tamiko Narisawa, a woman who in a bid to make her dream of being a jewellery designer a reality, kills her husband Kanji Narisawa (Tetsushi Tanaka), and even gives her body to her lover, a political fixer (Mikijiro Taira). The story is based on an old mystery thriller written by Matsumoto Seichou. Kurokawa no Techou was also written by the same author.

Thanks for the info... That explains the emphasis on jewelry (among other things) in the web site's cover page...

Yep. It sounds very interesting.
Click on button to reveal/hide spoiler:
In the first episode, Tamiko is shown supporting her bedridden husband (a stroke patient) and working as a serving lady in a traditional Japanese restaurant cum ryokan. One day, she meets a charming man, Kotaki (Koichi Sato), at the inn and seems to choose him to help her attain her goal. She asks him whether he would like to "try to take aboard 'a vehicle' that doesn't know its destination." Kotaki agrees on condition that she completely leave her burden and past behind, and this spurs Tamiko to extricate herself from her current living hell. One night, she sets fire to the room her drunken husband is in, and flees.
With her husband dead, Tamiko is taken in by the attorney Hadano and brought to a stately mansion in Azabu where a kimono-clad Yoneko is waiting to show her around. Tamiko meets Kito who suddenly grabs her and drags her around to the futon. As Kito gropes her, Tamiko realises that she is now in a mansion, and with that realisation it seems alright to offer her body to him.
Toru Nakamura plays a detective who will appear later in the show, suspicious of Tamiko's role in the death of her husband.
Highly unlikely, since the drama is brand new and currently airing in Japan, though Dochira thought there would be BTs available soon.
Nurse Aoi, 2nd House, and a few other new dramas, must have lots of fan subbers as they eng subs are coming out fast.
hopefully their will be some for this series.
