I share your sentiments. Alam kong ilang beses na natging nadiscuss to d2 pero lam mo yun, sana quality fanaticism nman. Yung may tunay na pagmamahal at appreciation dun sa idols natin. Cno ba naman ang ayaw na dumami ang fans ng idol nia, diba? Mas masaya nga yun na mas marami kang mapagshesharean ng bishie spazz mo diba? Kso ang madalas kcng nangyayari dito sa Pilipinas, pag meh sumikat, tlgang nagiging palasak. Tlgang bumabaduy. Sorry if this would spark discussions of elitism na nmn pero, i dunno, i guess I just love these boys and these shows too much that i would hate to see them get baduy and stuff...sorry if im not making sense.

It's kinda like when they showed Good Luck, and for me, that was like "Takuya freakin' Kimura, undoubtedly the most enduring and popular male star iin Japan right now, on local TV *dies*!!!!" but to the rest, he was just some guy with not-so-nice teeth who looked like Rustom Padilla. I mean, I know that I can't except everyone else to love the things that I love with the same passion and intensity...but still, it's very frustrating

And another thing that I'm concerned about...baka yung mga naging die hard Shin-atics from G1, mag-comeent2 abt G2...yung mga friends kc naming pinapanood nmin ng G1, sobrang nainlove keh Shin. So we had them watch G2 too, then they were like. "WTF? Where the hell is Shin? Who are these guys?!! We hate them and wanna shave their friggin' eyebrows off!!!!" And we were like..."but that's AKame why r u saying those things?!?!"

kasi sa atin, i think it's more of going with the flow. you know, like when everyone watches this, therefore you should watch it too. everyone loves this, therefore you should love it too. it's something like that. initially, it's not because you actually like them, but bec your friends or peers like them. and when this happens, the media are bound to take advantage of it. kaya ayun, nagiging overexposed. at the same time, since it was jut a fad anyway, mabilis din yung pagbagsak. at kung bumagsak, sobrang laos naman. it would really hurt me to see that happen to them. did that make sense?
and also, i think it would really take time getting used to how they look. majorly physical kasi yung basis natin pagdating sa celebrities. like with kimutaku, my friends were asking why he doesn't have perfect teeth, skin, etc. iba yung basis natin for actors. samantalang sa jdos, parang kung minsan, secondary yung appearance. rarely na you'll see a heavily made up na character. parang normal lang sila, like the characters they portray. sa telenovelas natin, nasa bahay lang, sobrang made up pa. kulang na lang nakagown.
anyway, hindi na maiiwasan yung comments from g1 fans about g2. inaamin ko din naman na plotwise, storywise, mas maganda talaga yung g1. wag namang personalan yung lait. like how shin looks compared to ryu or hayato. parang wala naman dapat kinalaman yun. it's about yankumi and her trials as a teacher anyway, not about how the boys look. pero as i said, di talaga maiiwasan yun. the first thing one would expect from a sequel is a continuity with regards to the characters and story, kaya natural lang na hanapin si shin. pero shites! akame ang g2!!! akame!!! haha! even shin doesn't stand a chance against them. XDXDXD

But yah, I completely get what you're saying...it's like, ikaw yung antagal ng nagmahal at sumuporta sa kanila, tpos pag biglang sumikat sila dito and eventually bumagsak, ikaw din yung pinakamasasaktan dahil you genuinely love these idols, while the rest of the masses will flock to the next trend and completely forget about said idol. I know na ganyan naman tlg ang reality when it comes to Phil. TV....but still, as a genuine fan, you cannot help but get frustrated

Rustom?! that's mean. At first I thought he looked like Romnick I brushed the thought aside and thought Kimura is a lot better in countless ways.

That makes sense. Or sometimes because of lack of promotion, hindi naman nagclick dito ang ibang dorama na nagclick sa ibang countries so ayun nilagay sa siyesta timeslot ang classic dorama, i.e. Long Vacation E danda danda ng LV
