Anyone knows how to make a URL mask for google search?
Here's an example...
A typical addy on JDorama.com is..
http://jdorama.com/artiste_123.htm
Lets say I want to search for any artiste page that contains the word "genma". How do I restrict the page results to only http://jdorama.com/artiste_???.htm ?
So far I only know putting a " site:jdorama.com" at the end of the search will restrict results to this domain. But I'm looking for something for the specific pages... hmmm...
There's a tag inurl: and allinurl: but doesn't seem to work for our case, as artiste_123 seems to be considered as a single word Maybe should change to artiste.123.htm instead.. but it'll mess up the search engine rankings.. _________________ @_@ <--- webmaster?

Perhaps by using an exact phrase on the artiste page that you know mostly only exists there, try the following search:
genma "Search forum for this artiste" site:jdorama.com
Or you could add something unique to the page title (like "ArtistePage") and the let google reindex and search on that

Will await Google to re-index all pages before adding our Google-powered search option.
As its done in a rush, would appreciate if anyone could post any errors discovered on the website.
Time to do some stress tests!! |
Looks like I can't access any of the threads past page one with the revisions you made...
Does something have to be changed in my browser???

When I took out the "intopic" function, my searches were parsed much better than when it was there. Of course there were more topics, but I felt that "intopic" was hindering the searches for the best results. Maybe it's just me. |
It's not you: I'm having the same problem... The thing just keeps barking at me, particularly when I try to make a more detailed search...
Between this and the normal engine, the search function is totally useless.

Yeah, just take out the intopic variable and it'll be fine for the most part. You'll just have to sift through more data.

Yeah, I noticed that... Seems to contradict the point of having the Google search available in the first place, neh?

I tried it from home on two different "scanned Clean Machines" and just now from our corp. network with the same results. Just wanted to let you
know.
