how common is it in japan to celebrate halloween?
how likely is it to be accepted/not accepted, and for which reasons.
"soft" halloween: pumpkins, trick or treat, spiders, lanterns, spooky costumes.
"hard" halloween: fancy graveyard, haunted props, skeletons etc.
guess it may puzzle neighbours in case there is no previous experience with a fancy graveyard.
for this reason, i would rather refrain from it than to scare the neighbours too much.
however, i have no idea how common/uncommon halloween is in japan.

There are those who do dress up and do the pumpkin stuff however majority of people don't care. It's just like another day. |
that's true but there are some awesome halloween parties that are thrown in Roppongi if you're in Tokyo....lots of clubs throw Halloween parties and you can rock out to the wee hours of the morning...

Oh yeah!
You can't forget the parties!
I think that's the only thing that's similar to the states, if anything. _________________

Better make that 2 credit cards! God knows that 1 just isn't enough if the party is a 24hr party. _________________

Yeah, however I think the otakki's would probably do it more than others. _________________

Bah! might work a little better. |
just say "debu" ...that's better.... or "dekei na".....
