I don't see a thread that encompasses general problems with the website. In fact some of my older threads could be combined here.

I was looking at the "Who's Online" page and saw the login time for everyone is set to the UNIX epoch time. One time variable may be incorrectly set.

Fixed. Latest version of phpBB has this bug, they missed out the session_start variable in the SQL statement. Head Scratch

Nice.

I have another issue with the website, though it may be just the result of my freakish monitor at work. At 1600x1200 resolution (!), the blue gradient background does not fill up the View Recent Posts and the Dramas by Season table elements. It stops halfway in the cell.

Occasionally I find the "No posts exists for this topic." Is this a side effect of deleting posts?

I think it's a problem of a thread having too many pages? Beaten
it happens all the time with V6 threads.

Not that I know of. Haven't seen that on any of the threads I've worked on.

The problem at the end of the threads is probably an after effect of the recent hack on the site. Missing records that I have to locate.. it was partially fixed when I restored some inactive user accounts (e.g. dummeruser02). So as some may have guessed, it led to fewer results in the SQL join statements.

The 1600x1200 problem is known, I see it everyday. Bonk Didn't really bother to fix it though.. thanks for bringing it up again. Hope to find time within the next few weekends to fix all these thingies...

Here are other problems I've seen (but may be limited to Firefox users, since I do not see these on MSIE):

- the greyish-silver bars on the front page (JDorama.com, Who is Online, etc) stop halfway at my resolution of 1024x768.

- If I click the newest posts for a thread within a forum randomly (may not be from the top), I find that it sometimes clears the newest posts icon for another thread (usually the one above it). If I view threads from the top, this does not occur.

hi dochira,

Weirdly, I'm not getting the display problem both on IE and Firefox, on 1600x1200 and on 1024x768. Did you try on other PCs?

As for the change in newest posts, it is a feature of phpBB. It does not recognise individual threads that have been read for each user (coz it takes up way too much server CPU and space). Its alittle complicated to define such things, as a user's session period/behavior may vary alot. Or would you happen to have a simplified view on this? Thumbsup

If it didn't load completely, it might not work... Try refreshing.
