i tried starting with written a couple of months ago but it wreaked havoc with my sanity so i went with spoken first. i think i am making fairly good progress, considering i work and study at the same time.

at the end of the day, i think it all depends on what is more comfortable for the 'learner'.

but is there a site that teaches right pronounsation of nihongo?

Japanese-Online is a pretty good site. You might have to register for some features, but it's free. It starts you out with some basic grammar, and then introduces hiragana and katakana about halfway through the lessons. It has sound files for all of the dialogs and vocabulary sections.

As for which should come first; I honestly don't know. I'm just a beginner myself. I've looked at several different websites and books, and they seem to have different approaches. I guess it depends on what you want to get from this language.

maybe you can use it in a sentence so we can clarify? im pretty sure itemo is two words (ite mo).
you ni is 2 words...and it means "like" for example, "ano hi no you ni ore ha omae wo yubisashite 'omae ni horeta' to itan da" which is "Like that one day I pointed at you and said 'ive fallen in love with you'".
wakatta?
or maybe you should just wait for koukou to answer this thread
