Yeah, you're right. I loved that show too. Tsuyoshi is so cute cutting the ham and feeding Fujiwara Norika. His character was so cute falling in love with a big star. Yeah, at the end they show them as an old married couple and Shingo goes there to interview her.
HEhehe....me too I liked Star No Koi...And I was surprised seeing Shingo there...Thought I was already watching an entirely diff drama...lol...
Wonder if any of the subbers plan to sub "Boku to Kanojo to Kanojo no" and "Boku no Ikiru Michi"??? Coz I've only seen Tsuyoshi play light roles and I would want to see him in those tearjerker dramas...
How about Narita Rakon with Aseto Saka. OMG! Showed cutie Tsuyoshi in his white brief underwear 3 times! He has a nice body. And as for the ending, he and Aseto Saka ended up marrying again. And they keep arguing.

Here's something new! Thanks to nikyy from Shinichi's thread.
Hills ni Koi shite (temporary title)
- Kusanagi Tsuyoshi, Tsutsumi Shinichi
- Kusanagi play a man who lost his factory and family. This made him a money minded person. He then decided to work in IT company in Roppongi Hills. Tsutsumi will be his boss.

Sure am looking forward to seeing Tsuyoshi in a different kinda role...one which is not so 'nice'!

wow, that sounds interesting. Tsuyoshi is a really good actor. i'm sure he will make the most of this new role. do you know when this new show is going to start?
i don't really believe that Tsuyoshi is as shy as he portrays himself to be. i mean, look at the way he moves, sings, and dance on stage. and him making "eye contact" with the audience, then waving, and giving a sly, sexy smile. yes, the word i am using here is sly, not shy. sly, sexy smile.
but it intrigues me how he blushes so quickly when someone kisses him on the cheek when he and another SMAP member has won on Bistro SMAP. but still, he is not shy. after all these years on screen and stage, no way that he is shy.
the part that fascinates me the most and although it is none of my business... i always wonder about whether he has a girlfriend/wife. i'm sure he likes women, right? i remember watching his Kyoto special when he travelled to Kyoto with a famous 60 year-old photographer and this photographer kept telling Tsuyoshi that he wants to introduce a girl to him. and Tsuyoshi kept laughing and saying "no." hmmm... is it because he already has a girlfriend or is already married?
i would not be surprised if he is married with a dozen kids.
he definitely has the look of a good husband.
Has Tsuyoshi won a Best Actor Award for any of his television dramas or movies?
From what I know... He has won quite a number of second place awards for Best actor category.... partly due to Kimura snagging the first place... Haha...
There is this book that keeps a record of all winners for the past 5 or 10 years. I've flipped thru this book before and I was so tempted to buy it... Haha~
Ah..I saw Tsuyoshi in this week Dotch's cooking show..hehehe..
I didn't watch it in the beginning. Is he regular in Dotch cooking show? or not? Sorry..I didn't follow this show ..

Ohhh... that is interesting and kind of disappointing. It always looks like Tsuyoshi is second- third- even fourth-fiddle sometimes. In my opinion, I feel he is one of the best actors (comparing with the other 4 members of SMAP). Nakai is a really good actor as well (esp. in Suna no Utsuwa). Hope one day Tsuyoshi can get a Best Actor award and be in First Place.

Actually i can't imagine Tsuyoshi losing to Takuya. It's quite true that his acting skills are better than the other 4 SMAP members. But i'll say his roles are pretty limited. He's almost always acting as Mr Nice Guy. But i sure am looking forward to his new show with Tsutsumi. As for the other members, Nakai is getting a greater variety of roles these days and he's doing a fantastic job. Even Goro is getting better with the different roles. Shingo has been getting all the different kinds of roles and has been performing pretty ok. As for Takuya, he's been playing the same kind of character...have yet to perform his best(IMO) coz of the limitations, so i really cannot understand why Tsuyoshi has been losing out to him...

Totally agree with what you are saying. It does not make any sense that Takuya keeps getting Best Actor awards over Tsuyoshi. Tsuyoshi's acting is clearly much better than the other members of SMAP. And Tsuyoshi is being overlooked and really unfair that he has not been given a Best Actor award which he truly deserves.
Nakai won Best Actor award for 'suna no utsuwa' (Vessel of Sand) which was rightfully deserved, he really earned that award. His acting in this drama was really fantastic. After watching it, was totally speechless and never knew he could act in such a role. He really portrayed Eiryo Waga to near perfection. Very powerful and emotional.
Takuya's roles have been pretty much the same. Mostly the 'hero' of things. And his acting is pretty much the same as well. Most likely it is due to the fact that his roles are limited and seem to have an idol image attached to them.
