Synopsis:
The members of the TEAM ASTRO cast were chosen for their ability to play baseball and include past participants in the annual Koshien high-school baseball tournament, thus enabling the portrayal of realistic baseball scenes in addition to the spectaculars stunts taken directly from the manga. For TEAM ASTRO, each game is all or nothing ---- the characters literally play for their lives. But through the such determination emerges the spirit of professional baseball's youth, a time when baseball was still strongly associated with people's hopes and dreams.

Ok boys,
at jdorama we've got a lot of fun quarreling about our interests, projects and so on but IMHO we're losing the main subject - this site rotates around the drama database, the big problem is that the upgdrading of the db is too slow and sometimes ineffective.
for example, this post by Hareluya Boy at Fri Mar 10, 2006 9:09 pm, was unattended...

as written in the faq, to add a new drama/artiste to the database, the way is to send an email to [email protected] with the details.
I've done this, and I've never had response of any type.
Looking at this thread, there are a lot of posts that give info or images, not used by anyone.
Who is responsible for adding the new data?
I like very much jdorama, so I'm sorry to be a bit concerned here.
Don't you watch the 15 minute asadoras every morning on CH 18?
Wakaba is showing now. Not a great asadora.... but there have been super asadoras like Churasan (my all time favorite), Honma Mon, Sakura, Kokoro etc.
I see you have not been introduced to the asadora world.
These are 15 minutes segments that have been showing in Japan for around 50 years or so.... Each asadora runs for about 156 segments and are designed to keep the houosewives happy. They have certain kind of rules. The star is always a female. She is always an unknown. The story almost always deals with a female breaking into a man's world for example: Asuka in which the gorgeous Takeuchi Yuko was the unknown, is the story about a young lady becoming the top pastry maker in Japan;
Honma Mon the story in which Ikiwaki Chizuru becomes the most famous female chef (my second most favorite of all time) etc
Life would not be the same without asadoras.... yippee

Very well explained, Ralph!
By the way, I heard that there will be a Churasan 4, might as well add it up to the database. _________________

Only to note that requesting for an update of the database is a waste of time - if you look at the history of this thread, the contributions haven't been considered yet by the dba.
by now, it's a waste of time connecting to jdorama to see if there are updates.
