LOL! And make no attempts to try another.
Here's another train one: When someone leaves on a train and the person after them (with very important news/information/etc.) totally misses them. End of story. No one tries to get the next train in 15 minutes. _________________

There's only ONE exception to the rule: you have someone in your group who is a certified Densha Otaku (see Tokyo Tanaka San Go). Otherwise, go to the lack of knowing when to use a cell phone as the backup problem!

And then they run out in the rain to meet that important someone instead of taking a cab or train.

You must run in the rain....the water on the skin conducts electricity which enables you to run faster and reach your destination like Flash Gordon.

Probably because the story would be over after one episode, if they weren't afraid of calling to clear up the misunderstanding. |

Oh! And usually the person running away doesn't know they're being followed. |
Isn't this similar to the one where one person's already ridden the bus, and it's moving, and somebody else is trying to catch up to the bus but can't? And the person in the bus is totally oblivious to all else around?
As far as people running away, I do know of a recent series where the lead kept running... and running... whether away or towards, he was just, you know, running.

I read somewhere that it got extremely high ratings, which means they are giving the audience what it wants: the same story over and over again. Looking forward to TabanaLs guest apparence in Gokusen 9 as a mean gaijin English teacher accusing class 3D of theft.

Yes but the ultimate goal of running in the rain is to fall sick and getting your love interest to take care of you.

Call me rat fur sensei.
I wish I could've been in this one. Just by looking at the correlation chart's picture and I want to punch a few students so bad. And I'm not even a violent person.
I checked and you're right. ep1: 26.4, ep2: 24.8. Might go down a lot when people realize it's the same thing all over again. Hopefully. _________________

Or get drunk at the local izakaya and have someone give you a piggyback ride home because you're slobbering drunk.

They don't emphasize it usually so it's alright. But I find it quite incredible how many dramas had young, important character(s) with deceased parent(s). In fact, sometimes it's hard to think of a drama where all of the young characters had healthy, living parents. |
I don't know if it was in this thread or somewhere else, but somebody mentioned once how in a country with one of the lowest divorce rates and longest life spans, how there's so many dramas where the kids come from families where somebody died or there's been a divorce.
