A new project is here! We are seeking the help of fellow JDorama-ers to help update the database of Artistes in this site. As we all know, most artistes we have come across in dramas do have his/her own profile page in this site, and now we are trying to make this feature become even better by updating them with latest pictures and profile infomation on them.
Calling out to all JDorama-ers: please post pictures or profile information of artistes in this thread so that we can collate them all and send them to Genma, who will then update the site.
For example, Sakurai Sho, who acted in Yoiko no Mikata, Tengoku ni Ichiban Chikai Otoko II etc. does have his profile page, but does not have a picture.
1) pictures are to be a size of 200x300 and a clear view of the artiste's face
2) please give priority to artistes who DO NOT have pictures or whose pictures are outdated, when i say outdated, i mean at least a couple of years, as a few months doesn't really change a person's looks, we will not consider pictures that do not show any difference from the current one being used.
3) this works on a first-come-first-served basis. we will use the first picture that meets the requirements, so there will be no point in posting a picture of an artiste who already has a suitable picture posted.
4) when posting, please post the most recent picture you can find, thanks! ^^
5) post in the format i have done for Sakurai Sho, with the link as well. so it makes it easier =)
guidelines for posting profile information:
1) recent profile information please!
2) state clearly who the artiste is, give the link to the profile page, and what needs to be added/changed
finally, thanks everyone who have posted! It would really be great to see the database being updated.
Good start. But should include that all pics and profile info should come with the artiste page link on JDorama.com, so we can clearly identify the artiste.
I've alot of pics on hold and will upload them all enmasse when ready. _________________
Thanks for the contributions. Just a note.. I personally prefer pictures where the artiste's face occupies at least half the space in height. Otherwise, the thumbnail won't show anything identifiable.
And of coz, preference goes to pictures where the artiste is more or less facing the front, so we'd see most of the face, rather than just side view. _________________

Haha ok, will make sure to do that in the future
I was trying to mix in a few angles for some variety looks
Btw, there are some pics of artist which are real pixelated. They do look like semi-current looks of them but I was wondering if you wanted to replace any pixelated pics with newers ones too. Let me know if you do. An example would be Kato Ai.

thanks elt, for your contributions!! ^^ yes, it would be a good idea to change kato ai's picture too, because it does seem pixelated.. ^^ anyone have a suitable picture of her ?
Ok I also uploaded a new pic for Asami Abe since the other one was a bit small. I'm starting to notice that the Kato Ai pic is sort of small too but anyways, just let me know if any of them need replacing and I'll upload a new pic. I'll basically just go around and if I see a pixelated pic or old pic or no pic at all, then I'll upload something here
Yuko's pic looks a little bit outdated but bearable. I think I got this one from either Pride or Egao no Hosoku. Couldn't cut out the name tag or else the image would be really distorted. Up to you to change if you want to
Think of a good photo as one that's compatible with passports. Passport photos require a full frontal head shot, with some space around the head, and the eyes looking at the camera. And I think a photo in this configuration would fit well with Project P's scheme.
With that... Let's use yt's submissions as examples... Morikariya Yuika and Tanaka Koutaro are perfect!!!!!!!! Ando Masanobu might need some size adjustments, but the headshot is great. Takeuchi Yuki's photo would have been good, but her head's pulled too much to the left edge... Add some white space on the left side, then crop to size, and it'll be great. Matsuyuki Yasuko's headshot is good, but if we can find one where you could possibly see her right side a bit more, it would be better. The head's also too large, but that too could be fixed with white space around all four sides, cropped, then resized. Nakatani Miki's photo is great!

People,
The following is my own opinion...

Not to sound rude but beggars can't be choosers
Personally I like the funny backgrounds in some of the pics. Gives it some variety. It'd be kind of boring with a bunch of yearbook pics
