It would get the ratings back up. They were going to get Qaddafi to host the show but he won the wet t-shirt contest AKA he got shot to death.

Hmmm, usually one of the hosts is the star of the taiga. Maybe Juri Ueno really is a total bitch after all.

Yes! Maybe the move from KTSF was good after all. After a year absence (or was it two?), the Kouhaku will be broadcast on 38.4 NYE starting at 7pm. w00t!

Yeah, it was for two years that Kohaku wasn't shown here in the SF bay area... except on TVJapan, of course. I agree that TTV's complete move to OTA 38.4 was probably a good thing for us. I'm hoping they will show more of the offerings from Fujisankei Communications, other that the Fuji News/Mezamashi at noon and the Sunday TV drama, like Heyx3 Music Champ and Ainori. Fingers crossed

AKB48 will have 210 members on stage at Kouhaku

Wow!

Actually I'm a little confused. Q is the expert in this area, but I thought they were called "AKB48" because there are, well, 48. Head Scratch

True. What I gathered from the video is the mega group is split in to "teams" so maybe 210 members large represents all the teams past and present. Just a guess.
