In that video youLve posted he was asked about the boots. He said it was his personal stylistLs choice and he doesnLt usually wear those boots. _________________

You may call me crazy for doing this, but from today on I wonLt post anything in this thread. And ILve already asked to bmwracer to lock it and even delete it (if itLs possible). ILm still loving Ebizo and I would love to keep this thread going. But doing a search on the net today ILve figured the pics ILve posted here were used on a false blog opened in his name. And the deplorable content of this blog made me take this decision.
ILm used to see the pics posted here in other pages and I was always nonchalant about that, because the use of the pics on those pages were suitable to the purpose of this thread: displaying the art of Ebizo and being a source of information to all his fans outside Japan (and believe me, he has a lot of them).
Unfortunately, ILve figured some people used the content of this thread to disgrace his public image. And I donLt want to see this happen again.
Sorry about this and sorry to all his non-japanese fans for closing this thread. And thank you all for the support during this almost four years of thread. ILll still being a member of jdorama, so you are free to send a PM to me whenever you want to.
Best regards,
Betsy
Racer boy, you can lock the thread now. _________________

Ebizo Ichikawa taken to hospital for serious injuries
Thu, November 25, 2010
Kabuki actor Ebizo Ichikawa was taken the hospital for several injuries on Thursday morning. He was scheduled to appear at a press conference that day for an upcoming play, but he had canceled it the day before due to "poor health."
With news outlets reporting that Ebizo had been involved in a fight the night before, his father Danjuro Ichikawa met with the press to apologize and to provide more details on what happened. Ebizo's wife, announcer Mao Kobayashi, stopped by Ebizo's home early on Thursday morning and found him with blood on his T-shirt and pants. He also had a cracked front tooth, a broken nose, a bleeding left eye, and a lump on the back of his head. He was described as looking like a defeated boxer.
Kobayashi apparently called 110 at around 7:20am, and Ebizo was taken to the hospital after that. Despite his injuries, he is said to have been perfectly conscious.
According to early newspaper reports, police stated that Ebizo had gone drinking with some friends in Nishi-Azabu on Wednesday night. They became acquainted with another group of people there, and both groups continued drinking at another bar, where some sort of trouble occurred. Police are currently investigating for more information.
In his statement to the press, Danjuro explained that Ebizo was looking after another person who was feeling sick from the alcohol when he was suddenly attacked. However, he also reprimanded Ebizo for canceling his press conference ahead of time and still going out to drink at night.

Hi guys, long time no see!!! I just feel sorry for stoping by here to post about those horrible facts...
ILve been reading about this fact and some comments (of japanese and non japanese) on being his own fault and bla bla bla...
Ok, I know heLs not completly innocent, he has his parcel of responsability on this, but thereLs lot of hypocrisy going on. Plus, I think he was punished enough for his fault. What he needs now is not more allegation and fingers appointed to his face saying he failed. ILm sure he knows how he did bad. He is going to need a lot of love support from his family and (real) friends and fans. ThatLs probably the hardest time of his life.
To some people who live their calm and ordinary lifes, eventually have their jobs but have free time enough to sit their fat a**es on a chair and post a bunch of s**t on the net (not mention that whole tabloid junk we all know), is pretty easy to say: "ha ha, he asked for it, well done". "HeLs a spoil playboy starlet and he deserved it". But iLm sure that if any of these retards had, one day, a chance to be on his shoes, none of them will endure it. Not even for a single day.
Man, be a Kabuki actor is absolutely NOT EASY. ItLs not about pursuing a simple artistc career, IT`S A REAL MENTAL AND PHYSICAL CHALLENGE. And he has been working like a crazy since childhood. Having to overcome a terrible pressure, without knowing well if that was the best thing for him or not. He was born as a Ichikawa family member, so he was somewhat forced to follow this path.
I know pretty well how awful is to not being sure of the path you followed, specially when you were forced (by family or by society) to do it. Thankfully, I had to chance to stop and think about what I was doing with myself and I have managed to change the course of my life and ILm much happier now (I think bmwracer and some guys here know of what ILm talking about).
Maybe thatLs the time to Ebizo to do the same. And in the name of all the joy and good moments he has provided me up till now with his art, I will pray for his (mental and pysical) health and for his happiness, and say that ILll respect his decisions, whatever they will be, specially if they will be taken in name of his self preservation and his hapiness.
Sorry for this long text and for the bad words, but I needed to post it, some comments and notes really p***ed me off (sorry again for this other bad word...)
Odaijini, guys!!!!! _________________
