For the usual suspects...if you're interested go to the Torrance Mitsuwa to sample a bowl of soup curry straight from Hokkaido provided by a shop visiting from there. Soup curry is actually a specialty of Hokkaido so this is real opportunity to sample Japanese cuisine that I am pretty sure is not readily available. This Rakkyo Soup Curry is available until April 13, 2014. I ordered the vegetable soup curry with cheese but they also offer a chicken soup curry which comes with a quarter piece of dark chicken (thigh & leg). About 10 bucks. The broth is light and flavorful. Comes with a side of rice (partially shown).

My chicken is like me...even it likes to get sauced. Homemade Chicken Katsu...I am pretty happy how the color turned out on this fry job.

A few pics from my recent omakase at Mori Sushi. House made tofu with freshly grated wasabi Sakuramasu (Cherry trout) - So so good. For the record, I believe that's a mistake. I believe it's actually 11:45 to 2:15...wouldn't want you to show up early based on incorrect info.
