Ichiro watch: To date, Ichiro has 238 hits with 12 games to go. He needs 20 hits to break the record. Right now, he's 3-for-3 against the Angels in the 4th inning.

He's been slumping a bit lately. So I suppose he will just need three more 5 for 5 nights, and the other eight games he can be cold.

Hard to justiify walking a lead off hitting who mostly get singles, then a power hitter. It would be too obvious that someone doesn't want him to break the record.

Amazing how hot he can get (4 for 6 I think tonight) I was somewhat worried when he had all those hitless games earlier. Now it looks like it is a matter of time that he will rewrite the record book.
