I guess they just switched over today. I don't think they were 16:9 last night, but honestly, I wasn't really paying attention. Bonk

Edit: Now (2/20/13) looks like they've switched back to 4:3. Head Scratch

Ehh? Nut

When I first noticed they were at 16:9 I checked the other channels and only 18.2 and 18.3 were at 16:9 all the other channels on channel 18 were at 4:3. Now they're all back to 4:3. Very strange. Head Scratch

I contacted them a while back about going to 16:9 and they replied that they were missing something to allow them to do it...

Starting on the 17th, 18.2 is showing "Riot in Gujo" which I can find no information about so it must be a real loser.

But then starting on the 31st, they're showing "Kaseifu no Mita": http://www.jdorama.com/drama.1678.htm.

Which is very good!! When it aired in Japan the ratings were around 22 and the final episode had a rating of over 40!! w00t!

Starting Sunday, April 7th at 8am and again at 8 pm 18.2 is going to start showing the asadora to end all asadora's 'Oshin':http://www.jdorama.com/drama.739.htm

They say they're going to show all 297 episodes but I'm curious how they're going to do it. If they show just one a week it'll take over 5 years to show them all. If they show 4 episodes a week, which would take about an hour, it'll still take about 75 weeks. As usual, there is nothing on their website. Grumble

Update: Their website shows an hour broadcast so it looks like they'll be running 4 episodes a week.

They started today. They're running 3 episodes at a time which means it'll take 99 weeks to run through the whole drama. So this should be wrapped up around the beginning of March, 2015.

"Kaseifu no Mita" ends this Sunday, but the following Sunday, the 23rd from 9p-10p 18.2 is having a special "L.A. Ramen Wars" which they describe as follows:

"There are hundreds of restaurants serving Ramen in LA and it has become gthe battlefield of ramenh. Which Ramen restaurant serves the LAfs No.1 Ramen? Based on our survey from 300 ramen fans in Little Tokyo, West LA, South Bay and Costa Mesa, this program reveals LAfs Top 10 Ramen restaurants. "

Sounds oishii!! Drooling

Looks like UTB has made changes in their schedule. It appears there's going to be a lot more infomercials and a lot less NHK.

According to Hiroshi66, who had emailed UTB, UTB will likely air Partners 12 sometime in the Spring of 2015.

Replacing in the Partners timeslot on UTB (Thurs @ 9pm-10pm) will be Iryu Sosa.

On the other hand, replacing Code Blue Season 2 on Wed 9pm-10pm will be Freeter, Ie o Kau.
