I will post intros of each confirmed nominee in this post, and we'll soon decide. This decision is made by the overall support for this nominee, and amongst me and the mods separately.
Some points I've asked the nominees to talk about:
1) rapport with members (friendly )
2) ability to handle situations impartially (not get involved yourself)
3) commitment of time to this forum
4) basic mod instincts - to sieve out or stop bad posts diplomatically
Here are the nominee(s):

I'd like to help you and your other mods out with the Discussions on Japanese Dramas forum. I have over three years experience with web-based message boards, being an administrator or moderator for at least six different mb's, with themes ranging from anime garage kits to old computers. I'm not volunteering because I'm a huge Japanese drama fan like many of the people here... I like for you to rely more on my never-ending quest for organization, and to make sure all of your policy bullet points are met and maintained. I promise I'll do my best to keep the topics well organized... I visit the forums constantly, so topics that are out-of-scope will be caught faster than you can say Sakai Noriko!
1) I'm not everyone's friend here. However, I think that's a result of me trying to maintain order the way I see fit, and some people don't like that.
2) In my experiences with other boards as a moderator, I've handled even the most complicated situations well. I'll give the same level of service here.
3) This is where I'm most weak. Within a 24 hour period, I'm on-line at least once every four hours. However, there will be times where I'm temporarily sent to a remote military base like Diego Garcia or Yokosuka.
4) To me, bad posts should be handled by policy, not diplomacy.

I'm always on J-Dorama and I love chatting on this forum. I'm currently an electrical engineer major and I like math. I love J-dramas and my Aya-chan. I feel that I can help out the forum since I'm here often and I can help watch over the boards and take care of topics that need locking or deleting. I have experience in modding as I have helped to mod the boards of NOATED (www.noated.net) since 2001. I'm not much of a strict person when it comes to rules though, but I'm good at stopping flame wars from practice on those scary baka board on noated ^^*

I just want to help the current mods who nowadays realize that there are some section heavy trafficked and required to be managed and/or deleted i.e Artiste section and General Discussion. I realize that there are some spams nowadays, posting ads and/or announcements irrelevant to jdorama. Though, I don't have any experience to be a mod before but I'm sure I can get the hang of it with the help of the current mods.

1. I'm pretty friendly with everyone on the board. I admit that I might not agree with some stuff people say or do, but I do try hard to get along none the less.
2. Well, I handled a situation a while back with constant fighting with no end because both sides refused to give up. So essentially, I HAD to get involved to stop the situation since the current mods at the time, as well as other members, didn't do anything about it. I was impartial about the situation so everything seemed to work fine after. No outstanding flames I've read since then.
3. Commitment? I'm on the boards for a good part of the day so there's not too much of a problem there.
4. Hm, I think I can handle this pretty well. I'm a pretty technical guy so it wouldn't be too hard for me to figure out how to delete and or merge threads according to situation.
As for which boards I'd like to handle, probably either General Discussion, Artiste, or J-ENT since those are the ones I frequent most.

bmw (General/Japanese Ent. Discussions) and elt (Discussion on Japanese Dramas), nominate yourselves........
Seriously.
You got my votes.
If we don't have any nominees, the only choice would be to recruit "in-house". (from the mods we already got) And I'm not sure if that is an option already. _________________

or should we put up a poll
No official voting required this time as we already see most giving their votes now. The final decision will be made amongst me and the current mods. _________________
