Genma a couple of options for you.

1. I currently have a dedicated server with 7 sites on it. For reliability and speed I guess you can use d-addicts.com as a measurement.

I can offer you 150Gb for $15 or 200GB for $20. It currently cost me $105 for 1000GB, thetenken already pays $10 each month for part of it so that leaves $95 for 900GB or say $10 for each 100GB.

D-Addicts uses about 80GB and I use about 500GB for momusu stuff, the other 6 sites usage are rather insignificant (barely 1GB each).

2. Going partner with another dedicated server. The guy that is providing me with the above dedicated server charges $65 for the server, $30 for cpanel license if we need it and I usually pay him via paypal which gobbles up another $10. If you're a unix guru and don't need cpanel then the server would only cost us $65 + paypal fees otherwise it would be $105.

I can go halves with you on the cost and we share the server 50/50 or somebody else wants in as well we can reduce the cost even further.

getting worried since you're under a tight timeline.

Ruroshin's recommendation seems best at this point. He will most likely be the savior of Jdorama.com. At this point Genma, things are looking pretty good as you have many options. Keep searching and I hope you find the one that is best for your budget. And if you need help, I'll donate whatever I can on a month to month basis.

Genma, extremely sorry to hear the troubles you are having with hosting. I'm no web guru, but am willing to help with a few $$. Will now go and make a donation on Paypal. Hope it will tide you through till you find a good alternative. Jdorama is a great site, and it will be a real shame for it to go down.

This would be a good back-up hosting plan in case Ruroshin's plan or another webhosting plan does not develop.

Can I make one suggestion regarding this thread? I think this thread is important enough that, if it's possible, it should be a sticky on the Forum Index so that everyone who logs on sees it. There have been several times that I noticed this thread wasn't on the Forum Index so I would have had no idea about it if I didn't already know. And, if you go to the discussions on artists or programs, you won't find it there either so the thread can be easily missed. If it was a sticky on the Index, there'd be no way anyone could miss it. And that would enable people to contribute in whatever manner they can - whether that be merely words of support and encouragement, contributions, offers to host, etc.

The downtime should be anytime around 10 to 16 September. I will announce at least a day or two beforehand if its earlier.

Still looking for options. Option 1 is dimming out due to the lack of consistent funds. Its also an unmanaged server, means I have to handle OS patches, upgrades, security, etc. Basically have to monitor it everyday.

Ruroshin, how managed are the servers you have and are going to get?
