First one is the 2008 movie Ichi. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1060256/

I don't recognize the second one but it kinda looks Korean.

Hmm, I'm looking for a Japanese drama about a little girl named Asuka (6 years old) and her family. It might've been shown during the late 80s or during the 90s (more likely the 90s). It's covers Japanese culture through slice of life. It talked about "Oni wa soto" and New Years.

Thanks for your help!

Alright, my info on this is very vague.

I remember 2-3 months ago seeing a news blurb about a manga(?) being turned into a drama I think and it sounded interesting.

I want to say the drama was going to revolve around either a guy or gal that was either getting into their 30s or 40s and was needing/looking for relationship. The person has the typical chance encounter. For some reason I keep wanting to think that it involved an otaku but I think I might just be thinking of Densha Otoko in that instance. The pic they had for the series was a person leaning against/near the door on a train and another person a little further down on the train at another door on the other side of the train. I think the implications were they were the 2 main characters, one was a guy and one was a girl.

Sorry its so vague but I kept telling my self "ya I'll check this out! Just a bit later though..." and now I can't remember where I saw info about it. I don't even remember if it was a manga, anime, or even a Jdrama but I seem to think it was a drama.

Thanks for whatever help you can provide.

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me , I saw 1 or 2 epsiodes of a Japanese drama last year around May-June 2010 on JSTV in England, I don't know the name of the drama. I suspect it was made by NHK but can't be certain. In the storyline the father had been left behind in China as a child after World War II. He had been brought up by a Chinese family and then returned to Japan. His teenage daughter then went to live in China with the father's Chinese foster family.

It starred no body famous that I can think of but I would be grateful if some one could tell me the name of this series. Thanks.

Hi everyone, I'm new to the forums. Just wanted to see if anyone could help me with the name of a drama. Can't remember the title, or who are in it.

I will most likely write spoilers here to more easily identify the drama.

Story is: a poor boy is hanging out with a group of rich kids, i think 3 or 4. I remember the first episode they are on a cruise on a yacht. The poor boy actually hates the rich kids though, and the only reason he has befriended the rich group is to take advantage of them. He moves on to seducing the richest kid's girlfriend, who loathes him at first, but then falls for him. He doesn't care for her in actuality though, or so I perceived the drama.

However, the poor kid meets another girl who is interested in music (I think), but he pays no attention to her first cause she's not rich and can't give him money. During the drama he meets her again and becomes infatuated with her however. The rich girl notices this and finally exposes the poor boy to the rest of the rich group, but by now he doesn't care any longer, cause he's truly in love with the music girl. End of drama.

I'd be really happy if anyone could help me with this one. I've been browsing the dramas starting with a, but after reaching t I gave up. I'm hoping this would give me some better result. Thanks in advance!

hi lovelies, can anyone help me with dis drama dat i watched when i was a kid at the late 90s. it's probably around the same release time with itazura na kiss. i had only watched a few of the episodes, and i dont remember the tittle and the actors in it.

But the synopsis is roughly about this plain jane girl who transformed into a pretty girl through thick makeup at work place. she's in love with her boss, and her rival was another artificial pretty girl who got the looks through plastic surgery.

would really appreciate the help! i have tried googling, going through the list of japanese dramas but cudnt find it.

Hi everyone! Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of the drama I'm looking for, but i hope my description is good enough! I was going to watch this drama last year[ A little older than that though, I think.], but I didn't get around to watch it. Now that I really want to watch it, I don't remember the title! Anyway, I remember the drama starting off with this guy who talked "weird", he had a slur or something. He meets this girl, or maybe it's the the other way around, but he's really self conscious about the way he talks. I remember the girl telling him not to worry about it, that it didn't matter. Also, they were both young, probably in school. I hope that narrows it down a bit more. I really want to see it, so I hope someone knows the drama I'm talking about.

Thanks!

Sorry for giving out such vague info. I myself can't even remember too much of it!

This really old Japanese drama which I watched during the early to mid 1990s on some Singapore tv channel. I think this means it probably started airing in Japan, much earlier.

It was about this woman who was kinda strange person(I donft recall what her name is):

1) I recalled that she was either moving away to a new place or packing her house. She had a ton of letters packed in boxes and one day, the garbage disposal unit nearly threw them away. I think she had a breakdown or something.

2) She was quite suicidal and often tried to take sleeping pills or something.

At one point, she tried to kill herself and closed up the windows and doors. She failed to but instead, became blind. After that, she had a lot of trouble cooking, ironing, etc. and often fainted or something.

3) She had a boyfriend with whom she fought a lot or something. I think he owned a motorbike.

4) This show lasted for at least 3 to 5 seasons or more. The tone was very dark tragedy.
