Everything checked out, Aho. Don't know why there was a pseudo/phantom message prompt...

You're right: this ins't the right place to ask... See this thread: http://www.jdorama.com/viewtopic.3078.htm to make your inquiry.

...... snip ................
It would nice to see you lot do away with the " Bloody Hell, can't the lot of you effing READ the damn ANNOUNCEMENTS?? LOOK UP THE OLD THREADS FOR ****'s SAKE" attitude basically. You can almost smell the condescendence in every locked thread.
I know it is there for a reason. But you have to be honest to yourself. How many people do you expect to spend time actually reading it instead of jumping straight into conversation about their fave artistes?? When I joined there wasn't even an announcement thread there anyways. So it's a pretty recent rule I take it.
Again i stress. You lot have been chosen to be moderators by virtue of your attitude and friendliness on the whole. If you think you can't handle being a moderator as well as being nice to newbies at the same time, then maybe it's time to let someone else bring fresh spirit into the forum. |
Perhaps at times all of us have been harsh at one time or another.
However, I do not beleive that any of us has taken this approach... Anonymous wrote: | " Bloody Hell, can't the lot of you effing READ the damn ANNOUNCEMENTS?? LOOK UP THE OLD THREADS FOR ****'s SAKE" attitude basically |
If at one time or another, people feel as though this is the undertone that we're taking, I assure you all that it is not. I apologize on my and the other mods' behalf and we will be more careful in the way we post to prevent any misunderstandings (to the best of our ability, of course) from now on.
However, one thing that I DO NOT apologize for is requesting users to utilize the announcement thread and search engine before creating a topic. It is there for a reason, and I see nothing wrong with requesting that users utilize them. _________________
