just saw first episode, quite promising I think. hey, they use Fukuyama Masaharu's "Niji" again for the song!! Yey!! :D
Heheh, yup. But I haven't seen the first ep yet, hopefully soon ^^
Anyways, other good news is FujiTV have scored a two consecutive 'golden time' (primetime) victories.
The first episode of Yukie Nakama's Tokyo Wankei on Monday
rated #1 for the night; heard good things about it...
And Waterboys 2 clocked in a 20.6% national rating on Tuesday,
not only making it #1 in it's timeslot, but also besting the first
drama's first episode (17.9%) and it's last (which also it's highest
rated at 19.2%). Impressive :)

Just had a chance to watch the first two episodes thanks to a friend...
and wow, I think it's very good. Probably better than the first in fact.
Though there are very similar aspects from the movie and drama, I
think there's more than enough here for anyone who liked the first
one... you'll definitely love this one.
Also, the new soundtrack by Naoki Sato (Good Luck!!, Waterboys,
Orange Days) sounds cool pretty good- they're mixed in with a few
tracks from the first one; and the new theme is an orchestra remix.
If you're wondering when this will get subbed... I'd say probably
the beginning of January on Channel 8. I heard Saiyaman is giving
out the RAWs somewhere, but I'm not too sure.

- As mentioned before, the first episode of Waterboys 2 was the highest
debut (20.6%) of this season and is set to have the highest average of
Summer dramas this year. Episode 2 scored a 17.9%.
- Shinobu Yaguchi, who has made two films that are among my favorites ^_^
(including Waterboys/2001) is releasing a new film in a couple of months called
Swing Girls...
I haven't heard much yet... but as most can't see in theatres, look out for a
DVD next year. Looks cool tho :)
And yay, I got to see Ep 3... I'm guessing someone will put it up this weekend,
I can't seed myself because my connection's too slow @_@
It's based on the efforts of swim team members of Kawagoe High School
about 15 years ago; they developed an unusual event to perform at the
school festival, men's synchronized swimming.
It then became the main attraction of the festival and draws over 20,000
people every year who want to see the performance.
In 1999, a producer was impressed by a documentary on the performance
and decided to see this event for himself.
After uncovering the more dramatic aspects of the story, including conflicts
between team members; he consequently decided to turn it all into a film.

I saw the first two also, and it's very funny...Hayato's playing a very different character as from his "Yankee ni Bokuni Kaeru" part...and I would say the same for Saitou Keita, it seemed like a energetic role, something his brother's good at.....lol...
