How are Canadian dramas and sitcoms? Never seen one but any cool ones from there!
I know when I visit relatives they have some MTV-like show on their cable but it's Canadian and the show always has basketball player Vince Carter on there.

I have seen a few Canadian sitcoms here and there, not really dramas. The problem is that the public is so influenced by American TV shows and movies that a lot of local Canadian entertainment content is relatively unknown. But I think Canadian comedy is pretty good. Sorry, I don't have MTV on my Television though, cannot say.
TV rules aren't really strict or anything, I doubt there is much censoring of American TV programs here in Canada. Forgive me, as you can tell, I'm not that knowlegeable about entertainment here in North America. I should be, but ever since I went to Japan in 2002, I've been mostly interested in Japanese and Asian entertainment over local stuff.

The original Law & Order is the best of the bunch.. SVU and CI are only okay... I tried watching NYPD Blue, but Dennis Franz's character is such a jerk most of the time that it's hard to watch... And I don't want to see his bare ass ever again... Bleah.

I hate it when they do these on Mtvs.....they just cut and paste and the whole mtv became crap....repeating the same scenes. Last time i watched mtv music awards, they cut off the whole performance by beyonce and good charlotte........ but if you have cable tv...you will not face these "punishment".

You got that right. I like the original L&O because it focuses totally on the investigation and the courtroom procedures, no junk about personal lives and stuff. All meat and no fluff.

Do you watch CSI then? I tried watching it, but it doesn't keep my attention, so I give up...
Oh, I usually watch Crossing Jordan, but only because of Jill Hennessey...

Yes yes.
To reiterate, I'd throw in The West Wing, Law & Order, and anything on PBS.

Is "West Wing" a good show since the Rob Lowe and the creator left? It's been a long time since I caught that show..."ER", "The Practice" and several others.
I heard there's a new one out there called "Cold Case" & "Joan of Arcadia" that is pretty good. Haven't seen them yet though.

Whoa, and I thought I was alone in this. I kind of feel the same way about dramas and TV shows in my country, though, I can think of a couple of decent ones here and there. But otherwise, most of the dramas on local TV are not that interesting, in my opinion. You just put my thoughts in a little more harsher tone.
Then again, we all know that Japanese dramas are superior.
Almost anything is better than that reality TV crap that really isn't good at all......
