PostPosted: Sun Sep 07, 2003 5:13 pm    Post subject: Any subtitlers here? Reply with quote Back to top

Hi. I'm a big fan of the series Shomuni and I know that JEM released the series English subtitled. Well I have one of the Shomuni Specials RAW in really high quality .AVI format and, since JEM doesn't actually sub the series but encodes them from Singaporean TV, I was wondering if any subtitlers are willing to sub the Shomuni special. I'll give a copy of the special and any other help you might need.

Also, is there anyone willing to sub. the SMAP movie Boku Ga Boku De Aru Tameni? I have it in RAW VHS format, and since a lot of dorama fans are SMAP fans and it's a pretty hard movie to get, I thought it'd be cool to have that subbed, too.

Please, if you can help, post or e-mail......

You can get subtitles for most Asian movies at:
http://subs.2ya.com/

I jsu tchecked that site and they do have 2 versions of versus subtitles - the one and two-cd rip versions.

For asian movies, i usually get mine off of edonkey instead of IRC/BT/Kazaa. you can use jigle.com to do a search on the edonkey network and if you dont get a hit, try either sharereactor.com main page or the forums.

Hey arnel98, I want to try edonkey but I'm not sure which software to download. I went to this site http://www.overnet.com/index.html Is edonkey2000 and overnet the same thing? And does it contain any ad/spyware? Thanks.

Redrum, overnet, edonkey and emule are mostly the same. Overnet and edonkey are created by the same person while emule was created as open source. Emule has a lot more options and better qui but Overnet and edonkey has the featue called 'the horde' which is sort of similar to how bittorrent works. However, only 1 file at a time can take advantage of the horde system but in my experience, it has made my downloads really fast as long as the file in question is quite popular.
The difference between overnet and edonkey is that edonkey conencts to both the overnet and edonkey networks while edonkey only conects to the edonkey network. Sweat

Howdy, I need a Japanese Translator who's willing to try a fan scanlation and do a translation script for just one chapter of Kamen Rider Spirits manga at the moment (being familiar w/ kamen rider is a plus, but unnecessary)

the manga is about an old school japanese icon hero, called Kamen Rider, it has a very simple plot. You have a good guy here and a bad guy there.. lots of action w/ simple translation such as "Rider Punch" & "Rider Kick"
anyway, the manga tries to capture the most amazing and nostalgic moment from the old tv series i think (not sure, maybe a brand new side-story), vol 1 is the story about Kamen Rider #1, 2, and V3
the scans has been taken care of, and for the editing part i'll take care of it myself...

a little info about this project: as for this moment, this project is my own sideproject. means that it hasnt belonged to any groups yet... i plan to finish a chapter first before offering it to a manga group that has been established (MS perhaps), the reason is that as for the moment i dont plan starting a new group (as if we dont have enuff already ). but first thing first, i need a translator for it, and i'll figure out what todo next after one chapter is done based on mass demands...

if you're interested on trans'ing contact me either at email or irc:
email: [email protected]
irc nick: zero_dreams at #mangascreener or #snoopycool over irc.mircx.com

p.s.: oh if you contact me by email make sure to put "Kamen Rider SPIRITS" as the subject Smile

try to translate it completely on your own first, check afterwards. This will show you your mistakes, instead of seeing the right version first.
