Probably not. I put these guys in the same class as B'z. Huge in Japan, but I think they're just okay.

Don't the B'z have a Hollywood star? Crazy Some of those bands have a big Asian following, but it'll never happen here. Shake Head Yeah, they're just okay is right but think of how impressed everyone would be with you if you scored front row tickets. Bow

That doesn't mean anything these days: you just need to have the money and someone to lobby for you... Sweat

IMO, it's a joke, like some of those Japanese drama awards. Shake Head

From Tokyohive:

On June 28th, X-JAPAN officially started their world tour at Shepherdfs Bush Empire venue located in England!
At this live, the band performed ten songs – including their new single, gJADEh – in front of approximately two thousand of their European fans. gItfs like a dream. I wish I could stay in this moment forever,h said YOSHIKI to the crowd.
During the encore, YOSHIKI appeared back on stage with TOSHI to deliver a special message about their past guitarist hide, who tragically passed away in 1998. gAfter hidefs death, I could not imagine myself here. Even after our ten year reunion as a band, I wish hide could be here with us. But, in a way, hide is here with us right nowch he said, trailing off as tears began running down his face.
The performance lasted approximately two hours, and included a ten song set-list. After their performance, top news companies such as Reuters and BBC interviewed the band and covered this event.
gThis is my first time coming to an X-JAPAN performance,h said a young English woman about the performance. gI really liked how HEATH played his bass guitar. I was able to meet different people at this event.h Another fan who arrived from Paris early in the morning just to watch this concert enthusiastically commented, gX-JAPAN is an amazing rock band! Ifm going to attend all four of their performances [in Europe].h

X-Japan announces ticket sale date for Madison Square Garden show

X Japan announced today that tickets for their highly anticipated October 11th concert at Madison Square Garden will go on sale this Friday at 10:00AM EDT at http://www.ticketmaster.com/XJapan-tickets/artist/723909.

The Madison Square Garden concert event is sponsored by New York Comic Con.

X Japan, led by co-founder, drummer, pianist and songwriter Yoshiki, will return to New York City for their first concert since 2010, performing both fan favorites and previously unreleased music from the band's decades of recordings. This Madison Square Garden concert marks a significant milestone for the band who made their U.S. debut with a Rockefeller Center press conference over 20 years ago, which presented the fierce J-Rock stars to an American audience. The band is finally fulfilling the promise they made to the fans to return. The group has since toured 16 countries, sold over 30 million albums and singles combined, and sold out Japan's 55,000 seat Tokyo Dome a record-setting 18 times.

In line with October's Madison Square Garden concert, Yoshiki and X Japan will appear at New York Comic Con, where Yoshiki will participate in a panel with Marvel Comics founder Stan Lee and discuss the pair's collaborations, including the comic based on Yoshiki, Blood Red Dragon.

That would mean the documentary would have subtitles. Applaud

I hope these Japanese bands continue subbing their documentaries. I was shocked when L'Arc~en~Ciel did their last one. It's about time they realize they have fans outside of Japan who buy their stuff.
