Highlights are VERY popular among Japanese women in Hawaii. No consensus as to why they do this. However, for me there's nothing better than straight jet black hair.

I think Asian women with long, black hair is hot [I'm thinking more in the lines of Moritaka Chisato long black hair...which I dig] BUT when it comes to Asian women with blonde hair, when I saw S.E.S.' Sea (Bada) have blonde hair especially in the S.E.S. music video "Love"...I was literally entranced by her look. Wow!

But I don't dig darker skinned Asian women with blonde hair.

As for guys with blonde hair, my friend went blonde and he got a good reaction from women from it. But I guess it depends how you style it too.

It looks good on some people, depending on how you look and the type of blonde color you use.
This reminds me of when I was younger and had blonde hair. People in China thought that I was mixed and that my father was an American. At that time most of the people only knew of America. Rolling eyes
Personally I prefer red hair. Big Grin

everyone knows at least most japanese teens have blond hair (i am guessing) is it true that for when they get blond hair it symbolizes gang? this is whati read in gto i want to know is it true? cause i mean japanese people with blondhair look great! so i just wanna know

Oh no...blonde hair is not an all out symbol of gangs. Of course, for teenagers to have them, some schools have problems with teenagers or kids who dye their hair (school code) and I can see those who do it as a form of being rebellious. But you can go to Harajuku and Shibuya and see people with blonde hair who definitely don't look like members of biker gangs.

Now if a person has their hair styled in a pompador and starts talking all yanki and dressed like the type...you can usually tell what side of the fence they are coming from.

i think it matters how ppl use blonde in their hair. i used to bleach my hair and have black roots. i thought it looked cool...ladies were all ova me...haha jk. well im done with that now im trying out long natural hair. my point is that it looks good on some pll.

i have i question though. do lots of japanese guys leave their hair natural? or do a lot of them use gel? i know where i live most guys put gel in their hair. just wondering cuz i've never been to japan.

I don't know of any of my JPN friends/relatives over there that has blondies, but that doen't mean that I don't see any there as well. Teens and young adults are usually the ones to dye/bleach their hair, just to be different, i guess. as far as putting stuff in their hair, depends on who you talk to, I guess. I do see a lot of hair product there, much more than here, for men. more gel/pomade and those wax stick than hair spray.

not only that, for the most part, JPN guys over there then to blend in. I mean thats all they've been taught in their life. Those that are too concerned for their looks are not considered "for the company" and are considered career-upward-mobility-challenged. for the college peeps/just getting to the working world, these are the one who tries different looks to 'woo' the girl(s).

I guess that's why I would hate to work for a JPN company for that reason. too conformed, and no individuality allowed.

LOL, I actually used to see this lady on the bus every day on my way to school in Tokyo. Typical obaachan (around 60-ish) and she used to have these really cool rinses in her hair! We would be OWNED. One day she had purple......then another week green, then another week kool-aid red. I did see other obaachans once in a while who did similar. It was so awesome. Mr Green While I never saw blonde, I saw some other colors on older people.

I don't like blond, brown or black is way more sexier and it fits. It's rare for someone asian to pull off blond hair.
