This series is getting better! The first episode is a bit slow, but now it's getting better. In fact, the second episode is quite funny... I esp like the part where Satoshi "translated" Shibasaki's rude gestures! Shibasaki, as usual, plays a girl who seldom smiles... she seems to constantly get these roles...
Btw, thanx for the link provided! This is probably the newest J-drama that I've seen, since the usual onces from TV or VCDs are at least a season old...

Yea I love Shibasaki Kou!
As for subs, I doubt there are any yet. I wouldn't mind subbing it, but I'll need a dedicated translator to feed me subs. If anyone is up to it then let me know.

wow enau.. that hair style looks awesome on Kou.. but I still don't really fancy the hair length.. long is nice, but TOO long is scary...
I feel if her hair length were just above the armpits in that pic it would be PERFECT!!
Her long hair is fine for me but I don't fancy her bangs (forehead hair).
I know it's the trend nowadays but not every one suitable with bangs.
This picture of Kou here is not my favorite one
(taken from the official website of "Dr. Coat's Clinic" )
I prefer Kou with natural hair style (long or less long).
A short cut hair would be a good change too eventhough I still can't imagine how will turn out to be.

While watching "P.S. Genki desu, Junpei", I happen to see Kou Shibasaki playing as an extra... she had (quite) short hair then... and if not for the credits roll, I wun even have known that it's her... If you have the series, maybe you can get to see her with short hair... remember it's somewhere in the middle of the drama...
Anyway, waiting for episode 3 of orange days. Hope that it'll be as good (if not better)!

Just finished watching the first 2 Eps, Kou-chan is just amazing! Love that scene when she writes those words on the blackboard Satoshi acts well too, it was fun when he made trouble in the restaurant.
Can't wait for Ep3!!!

I can't see why people whould be so angry about it. Her being able to speak but not speaking fits the character they created. For someone who was able to hear I'd think it would be fairly difficult to continue speaking when you suddenly cant hear your own words. Anyone could feel self concious after something like that. My highschool had a hearing impared program so I had a few friends who couldnt hear at all or couldn't hear well. Some of them chose to speak more than others it really depended on the person. So I really dont see what the problem is to me the drama is perfectly believable.

Ouch, I hate to hear this especially about a Kou drama. I do sort of find it a downer that she doesn't have any talking lines but it does fit the drama. Personally I don't think dramas have to be realistic down to every detail. I mean like, look at all this romance dramas. Do they actually happen like a fantasy in real life? To me it just seems like a big deal over nothing. Just my 2 cents.

well.. i wouldn't go so far as to question the reality.. to me, a drama is a drama after all.. the inmportant would be to learn and understand the message the drama is trying to bring across isn't it?

yeah, just saw it on the jtv forum announcement.
Just hope they have regular releases for this series. They got a lot of series that have been dormant for a long time... _________________

I'm enjoying this drama too, its also interesting to learn the japanese way of sign-language....I just can't believe that they're using the group "Orange Days" for some songs...not the ending...that's sung by "Mr. Children", but like for certain events in the drama (I don't wanna give them away)....

Ah, yes! I had this problem, too. Download that build of XVid...
it's available on the J-TV forum, there's a guide by MMXZ.
Basically, get the codec he lists on there and VideoLAN...
I have an alright comp, but I need to use VideoLAN to watch
it smooth aswell. I watched the first two eps of Pride choppy, ugh
Hope you enjoy it, JTV did an excellent job and I'm looking
foward to the next release.
