i agree with numlock84. they got this 'macho' style that they apply to their acting. i don't really like him though.

I like Abe Hiroshi a lot, but I think he's a better comic actor than dramatic actor. He's great in Trick!

You haven't seen him in "Mukashi no Otoko/Ex Lover" yet. He played as an accountant and that dorama was quite dark thus his role was not comedic at all. He's a good actor. I like Abe Hiroshi..he definitely rocks!

True! I'll check it out if I get the opportunity.

I've seen him in various roles, Narita Rikon, Musashi, Shotgun Wedding, Wedding Planner, Hero, etc. I've always liked him, but I liked his comic roles the best from what I've seen so far.

And he's tall, like me! Smile

From what I've seen, Hiroshi-san is an excellent actor. He's quite evil in Musashi, then surprisingly goofy and funny in Trick/Trick2... A very versatile actor.

omgod. i really like this actor! he really acts soo well! and i admit that i admire seeing him as a 'comedy' actor more than a 'serious' actor. but still, it's pretty funny when you see him play a 'serious' character. i mean, such a funny/goofy look as a gangster.. oh yea, another factor why i find him funny is because he has this 'gangster' look IMO...and yet he potrays a funny char....
