Hiroshi Abe is my absolute favorite. He's such an excellent actor. In both comic and dramatic roles, he's completely convincing, yet he never upstages he co-stars even when they're awful. Between this quality and the variety of roles he takes in movies and dramas, I feel like he's far more of an actor than, say, Kimutaku or Yuji Oda (who are excellent actors, but almost never take small or weird roles).

There's also the fact that he's hot as hell. He was a total pretty boy when he was younger, but I really like his current, more rugged look. One of the things I love about Trick is the little glimpse we get of his past as a model. His webpage also has his magazine covers from that era. He wears so really awful clothes on some of them.

I'm looking forward to Dragonzakura and the Trick special and movie.

thanks, he's so coollooking and he also looks like the the main charatcter from " hokuto no ken" his names kenshiro and i think he's working on a movie of it, he will play kenshiro.

He's one of my faves, and an excellent actor. He has such an impressive body of work IMO, and he plays different types of characters really well. Plus, he's been around for awhile and I think that says a lot about his skill.

hello! i might be the newest "abe fan"... and i have to say that i'm so surprised of what i read about him... i had never expected him to be such a funny guy... actually, not even now i cant see him funny... for me he's just um... Ito Takeshi(?) from Tokyo Raiders... the only movie i've seen with him ... i know u cant judge a man after that tiny little role, but the first time i saw it i was like that man is so COOL i loved him in that instant. but u know what? now that u mention it he was kinda' funny there, huh? jezzzzz i'd give anything to see trick (all of them) and um...ALL his movies! i started looking on the internet about him, but to less infos about him. i read he's a great actor and one of the best ins japan, but i cany find enough infos about him...nor pics.... and most sadly i never could find any movie with him...
well, anyway,i just felt the need to come here and maybe we'll talk about him?....

Have you seen him in Yasha? It's available on D-addicts now.
He's great with Ito Hideaki. Read a backstage interview article with both guys ... they are really good friends and Ito-san is all praise for Abe Hiroshi, marvelling what a great guy he is and great sense of humor.

i cant seem to find Antique, although i want really, really bad to see it , because like 99 from 100 people said that this was his best role... now i saw just Trick season one... and OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if i loved him before, now i definitelly adore him

Oh totally agree. He is a chameleon who just slips into his roles effortlessly. Am glad that he no longer has to play second fiddle.

this iis from TOKYO RAIDERS, the best movie of this gendre i've ever seen. it is full of martial arts drom the beginig till the end, a lot of comedy and nice replys in it, and with ABE in it!!! i absolutely adore this movie!!!! the only bad thing about it is that ABE appears in too little scenes, but if u have the posibility to see it, dont lose it! is wonderful! so remember TOKYO RAIDERS!

as much as i could understand, he doesnt play in movies much... aparently in Japan, movie industry is not as important as television industry (tv serials, stuff like that...). but trust me, u have to see this movie. his appareances are kinda short, but ADORABLE!!! and he's so HOT in there. (this is the first movie i saw with him) but allow me to give u an advice: if u are his fan, u really, absolutely have to see TRICK series. (u can find them on d-addicts). he's not a bad boy there, but he is like OH MY GOD
so, if u are his fan, u have to see those movies... they really worth it.
momentarely i'm waiting for my bro to finish his dl, so i will be able to take another jdrama with him (in this page look for him and u'll find a list of the dramas he played in, so u can pick your favorite )
