Hehe, yep. At the end of the quarter, went went to the top of the engineering building and threw our punched cards off the roof... THE most enjoyable part of that entire class...

My dad used to bring home punched cards (he called them IBM cards) home back in the 70's... With them, we made what they called Chinese stars (hard, pointy objects made using two punched cards), and also a headband (made out of about eight or so cards) you could wear when performing a hula dance. I also used the cards as scratch paper, and also made a great surface to create an epoxy mixture when I was building my Japanese anime kits.
As far as its actual use in computers, I never had the opportunity to play with a punched card reader. I did however play around with a cousin of it, the punch tape.

I remember those. I had a couple Basic programs stored on paper tape as a kid ...
I can't wait to see the computers we'll be using 20 years from now ...

Maybe you can knock off the date on that thread. Also 'cause even after that date, when we had server probs the comments were posted there. _________________

If you guys were to give Genma more donations, he may be able to place JDorama.com on a much more stable environment.

That's pretty harsh, Groink.
