Konishi Manami and comedian Tokui Yoshimi will be playing a married couple in the upcoming TBS Autumn 2014 drama "N no tame ni" which begins its run from October in the Fridays 10pm timeslot. Konishi plays the role of the wife who appears as a happy housewife but has an affair with Nishizaki (Koide Keisuke) while Tokui plays the husband who is deeply affected by his wife's betrayal. Later, the couple are found murdered which leads to the beginning of the hunt for which N had committed a crime for the sake of which N.
Konishi commented that she never imagined playing a married couple with Tokui before and was pleasantly surprised that the filming went well and it was an enjoyable experience. As for Tokui who has not been seen in a drama for the past three years, he commented that it was great that he could do a different style of acting this time and he enjoyed the experience very much.

Manami's website is back!! And it looks like this is fairly new, that it's only been up for a couple weeks.
It went away a couple years ago. Actually, I think it was her agency because the website had 3 or 4 other actors on it. Anyway, she's back:http://www.konishimanami.com/
If you click on the "info" button on the upper right there's also a link to her blog. But to save time I copied it here:http://lineblog.me/konishimanami/
I'm hoping the "portrait" button which is inactive right now will eventually have some pictures.
She's been fairly busy lately, a 5 episode WOWOW drama back in July, a special on Asahi TV that aired last Sunday, and she's got an NHK drama coming up in October.
The first time I saw her was in "Hotman" back in 2003. Hard to believe that in two months she'll be 37 and she's still just as
Finding this site made my day, week, month, year. It's phun being a phanboy!
