The Return of Sonny
Chiba Shinichi (64), better known as action star Sonny Chiba, is enjoying something of a revival in his home country. He appears in the new Quentin Tarrantino film "Kill Bill" and has been busy doing TV appearances to promote the movie. The director and star Uma Thurman have also been in town. Chiba is a relative unknown for younger Japanese, though he was a peer of Bruce Lee and a pioneer in Hollywood martial arts movies way before Jet Lee or even Jackie Chan. Tarantino has called him "the greatest actor to ever work in martial arts films!" Sanada Hiroyuki, one of Japan's most talented movie stars, got his start as a protege of Chiba
*As one of old Jmovie star..hhe also appear in Jdram Dekichatta Kekkon*

Takky as chairman in "toubousha
Takky & Tsubasa's member Takizawa Hideaki (21) will be leading in Tokyo
Teikouku Theatre's "Magical Musical 'Dream Boy'" in next year January.
The youngest person to ever be in the same theatre as the chairman was Kinki
Kids's Doumoto Kouichi (24), who was 21 back then when he first started
his musical "Shock". The story is compiled together by Johnny's Company
President Johnny Kitagawa. The story is about an ex-boxing world champion
who got involved in a murder case and became a fugitive. The musical was
claimed to be really spectacular. The theme song will be made by Kouichi
and Takky will try to compose the song as well. KAT-TUN members and Johnny
8 will also participate in this musical. For the musical, Takky is in
intensive
training now. It's been 4 years since he performed in his last musical
"Mask". "Toubousha" will start showing on 1-8 through 1-31 with 36 shows

Exile sings Zoo's famous debut song
An R&B six men group, Exile will release their first "4 consecutive weeks
single release" single in November with the cover song from a dance group
that was dibanded 7 years ago, Zoo's famous song "Choo Choo Train". Exile's
leader, Hiro (34) is the one who came up with the idea of re-releasing their
famous song since he used to be a member of Zoo. They sang that song during
an outdoor live event "a-nation" this summer and received a very positive
feedback. As a result from the fans, they decided to re-release this song
again. The promotional video will include both Exile members and Zoo
members.
Only 5 of 9 Zoo members were able to show up in the protmional video.
In the video, there is a scene where they were all having a party and they
even performed a lion dance. Usually, past songs that are revived are
usually
re-arranged from the original. But, this time, they will keep the original
song of "Choo Choo Train" to as close to original as possible. According
to Hiro, "it's the best when members of Zoo and Exile dance together. The
kids in the PV were dancing, and this dancing continues to thrive, we should
re-recognize such awesome culture."

Norika's New Flame
Actress Fujiwara Norika (32) has a new love in her life. She broke up with actor Kato Masaya (40) earlier this year and is now seeing Skoop On Somebody vocalist Take (34). The two have been friends since the mid-1990s but their relationship changed after Take divorced at the beginning of this year. Norika and Kato split up this spring after four years, reportedly due to Kato working long-term in Los Angeles. Take has a lot in common with his predecessor, being tall, handsome and, like Norika, a native of the Kansai region.

Actress Mizuno Maki (33), once chosen in a poll as the woman men most want to marry, is engaged to lawmaker Gotoda Masazumi (34). The couple have known each other since they were university students but it was only six months ago that Mizuno broke up with an advertising executive she had been expected to marry. Her image as the ideal wife is often used in TV commercials, and was only enhanced when she started going to a Tokyo cookery school in 2001. Her agency say she is scheduled to work through this year and a wedding date has yet to be decided.

Their 4th album has gone straight to No.1 on the Oricon chart, which puts them in a tie for 2nd for male artists with consecutive chart toppers following their debut.
