The moderator has already been selected, congrats to them

To all users who frequent this forum:

I will be deciding on a moderator for "Learn Japanese" forum. You may vote for any users (keep to 1 or 2 votes, don't just vote for all?!!!). All nominees must be self-nominated.. (PM me with an intro text to nominate yourself) so it means that even if everyone votes for one person, he or she must still have volunteered to be a mod.

Requirements? Keep the board tidy, assist newbies and other users in their queries, etc. Please refer to my earlier post hunting for mods:

As a mod for "Learn Japanese" forum, you should also have a higher level of proficiency in the Japanese language over the other users, and try to assist where possible.

I'll post all nominees' intros (or rallies, or whatever u call it) here when they send me theirs. Not confirmed on the number of mods for this forum, will see the response first.

But I am a quick learner and I will operate by Genma's standards and hopefully to everyone elses' satisfaction as well. If there are any other candidates, I would love to have a collaberation with one of them. Two are always better than one (IMO) Also, it would serve as an advantage because wherever I fall short, the other mod would (hopefully) be able to pick up at. Plus, like I said earlier, this is a learning opportunity for anyone and everyone, so hopefully we can all work together and get what we so seek.

My vote's for Aho... His knowledge of Japanese makes him eminently qualified and I've always known him to be friendly and helpful on this message board...

Maybe I should nominate myself to mod with Ahochaude.. two Kansai-ben speakers are better than one!

Ahochaude! I vote for him since he's very fluent (well he's Japanese), reliable, knowledgeable, helpful and friendly..(OMG I've just praised you.. ). Vote for AHO!

ahochaude will be a great moderator - no disrespect to other candidates but aho(!) is the man for the job.

BTW I hope your first action will be to ban romaji from all posts

Hey thanks. But I'm not sure if I can, although it would be kind of nice. But too bad that some people don't have the Japanese text input on their comp. Even the comp I use at work does not have Japanese input
So I guess that the use of romaji is inevitable

Don't worry, I wouldn't (and can't) do such a thing. It was just IMO that it would be nice to not see it so much (everyone is entitled to their own opinions, right?), but like I said, the use of romaji is inevitable. Thus, I can't and won't do such a thing.
