Hyouheki Synopsis
A human drama about friendship between two men and tragic love, adapting a suspense story written in the 1950s by Yasushi Inoue into a contemporary setting. Kyohei Okudera (Tamaki Hiroshi) is an internationally known climber. Invited by his old friend Akira Kitazawa (Yamamoto Taro), Okudera decides to challenge K2. The two were once climbing partners but have been estranged from each other since a rock-climbing accident of five years ago. On the day they climb K2, the two are caught in an avalanche and Kitazawa loses his life. Okuderafs statement that Kitazawa died due to the defect of the carabiner stirs up controversy since it was provided by the sports gear manufacturer which sponsored their challenge.
