Synopsis
Ogiwara Saki, 33, is a woman who does not go with the flow of society but forges her own path. She hates flattering men and trying to be nice to people of the same sex. She has failed the bar exam ten times in a row but persists in her dream of being a lawyer while working as a clerk at a law firm. Sakifs good friend, Hasumi Riko, who is a mother of two children, was high school classmates with Saki, but is in fact 35, because she had deliberately declared herself to be two years younger. She has no qualms of lying for the sake of female happiness, pretending to be married to a man of wealth and blessed with children. Because her personality is the exact opposite, this accentuates Sakifs uncompromising way of life

I've seen the first four eps (subs for ep 5 just came out). Even though I like it so far, I have to see I find the characters unappealing. I understand that Kanno's character is suppose to be rather 'dull', but the other characters have really seem flat so far. For example, if they were to get rid of Tsukamoto Takashi's character you probably wouldn't even notice.

to be honest, the most interesting charcaters so far are saki herself and he r friend riko. i like they they were with each other considering they weren't even close friends back in their school time and kind of hated each other.
but yes, masato presence or no presence is not making much different in the story. _________________

I have watched up to episode five now and I like it but I start to have some nagging concerns:
Click on button to reveal/hide spoiler:
First of all it doesnLt make sense to me that such a hard working person would fail an exam 9 times in a row. She seems also to be able to cope with stress. I doubt that we will get an explanation.
RikoLs family from hell is too caricatural in my opinion. Cheating wimpy husband, spoiled brats, mother in law from hell, evil nanny - all present, none of them subtle.
In real life somebody like Aida would never fall for somebody like Saki I believe. She is the unsexiest being I have seen in a long time. Kudos to Kanno though!
Lastly, I have to second Javsol, as far as I am concerned her ex BF played by Tsukamoto Takashi could drop out. Hopefully there will something unexpected happening there ...

Riko offered an explanation at the end of episode 6. Although I am not sure how much credibility it has in real life, it is somewhat believeable, at least enough for me to continue watching.

Loved this episode.
I like the explanation but in real life being a lawyer is not a pleasant profession, ethically speaking.
I also think that Nagasaku Hiromi

is pregnant for real - itLs particulary striking in this episode - sheLs wearing all this loose clothes.
I have to say eps 5 & 6, were definitely a step up and the best eps for me so far.

Yes, she is. It was posted on her thread some months ago. She announced it before this show started, but the she & the director said she wasn't going to drop out of the show and would continue filming as planned. I had actually forgot that she was until I started watching this show

great episode 7 - I like

That she doesnLt go back to Makoto, the father of her baby. After all he said, a healthy relationship would be impossible. I hope they donLt make her waver in the next episodes.
I also thought it was great to see that she took the idea of an abortion real far. Because thatLs the solution a lot of women would have gone for in real life when confronted with unwanted pregnancy from an unloving ex-boyfriend, low income and upcoming exams that would make or break their future.
