I think it was just to be funny. Also since usually her T-shirts have a certain place's name on it, the censor may just be making fun of that aspect (since it's blocking it out?)

I don't know of any other logical explanation.

By the way, I just watched this series last week! It was so funny! I enjoyed it a lot more than I initially thought I would. Sigh. I love Ken-Ken. He's so cute especially when he refers to himself as sessha.

I just watched some of this drama and its really funny. I was wondering if anyone knew if there was any place I could buy it or download it with english subtitles (besides d-addicts) Also, if anyone has any suggestions of dramas that are like it? ^_^

I just finished watching this series and I gotta say I loved it. The main cast of characters was great. Suzuki Anne was great as usual. This drama doesn't give off that "epic" feel that other dramas like GTO or Gokusen give, but its charming presentation give the same satisfaction. Nino's "ehhhhhhhhhhh" was just hilarious. And the teacher was hawt!

I've been enjoying this drama so far. (up to episode 7), my only problem is that the translator seems to have just... given up around episode 5.

It's so difficult to keep up with what they're saying because it's resorted to direct, literal, translations of the japanese language.

My question is, is there any other versions of this drama out there that have proper subtitles?

My version consists of 7 avis. I believe it to be a vcd rip.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I have the same copies. 7 episodes, ripped from a VCD.
Sadly there aren't any other versions around.
Wanted to fix the subs, but too bad it's already hard subbed.

I've finished watching early this month.
Even with the bad subs I was still able to enjoy it.
The subs on INSTALL (Aya Ueto's movie) was a lot weirder than whats on the Stand Up vcd-rip.
So I thought it was okay and finished it.

Have seen disc 1-6 so far... only one disc left to watch so far but a VERY enjoyable series so far!! sooo much eye candy!! not only are there tons of sexy actors in the show (nino, yamaP, narimiya hiroki, oguri shun, tsukamoto takashi) but we got to see oguri shun's ass my fave doutei boy would be either ken-ken or udaya.... suzuki anne is so adorable as always!!! and nino;s "eeeeehhhhh~~~~~~" is very funny and cute!! by the way... does anyone have the english translation to the song kotoba yori mo taisetsu na mono by arashi... i wanna know what the song means in english... thanks

Stand up is very very good drama, funny storyline and somewhat unique.

Hiroki plays the role of a outstanding odd and unique loser, (he does an excellent job with his superb acting)

Ken ken (yamashita from NEWS) also does a great job, I really loved his reactions to everything in this drama

For nino (from Arashi), I have to say that his role was funny/loserish/forgivable. He did a good job tho.

Ogori Shun, who was also very hyperactive in this drama (very good at hyperactive roles) did a good job too

I just finished watching STAND UP! This is such an hilarious dorama.
I've never been a fan of Johnny's boys but... ahahaha, this dorama made me love them! Ken-ken and Ko specially...

I didn't like Chie-chan character, though. She just got to screw up the things

And ken-ken mom was great!

This drama pwns my soul~ I love it so much! It was the first one I ever watched and the only one I think I'll actually like this much ^^;; The four of them had really good chemistry and they did seem like really good friends too ^-^ Anne Suzuki is a good actress too ^-^

yea the 4 boys had great chemistry!! probably cuz nino and yamap r both johnny's boyz and hiroki and shun worked together in gokusen (and oddly several other things) with matsujun who works with nino in arashi!! they're all connected somehow...lol!! nino has really great chemistry with ann-chan too cuz they've worked together a few other times (akimahende (i think), and just recently ao no honoo ^___^) plus ann-chan ALSO worked with matsujun! more connections!! lol... but i luv ann-chan!! she's so completely adorable!! and she's a great actress for such a young age too... so jealous of her... she gets to work with johnny's boyz so much PLUS with gackt and hyde in moon child!! so jealous!! anyways back to the show!! it's awesome!! very hilarious!! the last episode COMPLETELY surprsied me with the whole chie thingy <--- u know what i mean... i dont wanna say it incase someone hasnt seen the show...

wasn't shaku yumiko's censored because their was always a question at the end of the episode for viewers to answer and win a prize? the question was always about what it said on her t-shirt.

Ah!! That makes sense.

I knew it couldn't be about the shirt revealing too much. They'd already had a topless scene in the show.

The actors were reacting to the shirt throughout the episode. So they knew it was going to be censored. And that explains why she was actually pulling the shirt out to give the guys a better look in her last scene.

mayb it's a lil bit of 'A' but i watched it with my younger sis and cousin
exagerating acting, funny......the 4 guys r very cuteeeeee
