Who knows if there are any Jdoramas with gay stories or anything??

Interesting question.

The only one that I believe is: Yoru ni dakarete, or Night Embrace. But from what I recall (it aired in 1996?), it was not the main theme of the story. One of the characters had homosexual tendencies.

The only story that i can remember is Renai Hensachi. Okada's character suppose to carry a gay role...

no but he played one of the "bat" extras in sleeping forest....but his character only flew out in evening scenes so you might have missed him.

Here are some that I know of:

Romance (quite old, but not too bad)

Oyaji (not completely gay, but there is a character that is)

Dousoukai (old, but REALLY good drama - I got it through bittorrent)

Kimpachi Sensei (season 6?? - can't remember - not quite gay, but there is a character with �����ꐫ��Q (gender identity disorder))

There are also some good movies (yes, Japanese ) that I could recommend, if you would like.

Anywho, see if you can get a hold of any of those, they're all pretty good.

There is also the owners of the restaurant in Waterboys. The movie and drama.

I've never seen a gay drama. Mostly just a character or two, all men, hair stylist or something fashion related, but never something with major characters or plot like Will & Grace.

I guess it might be too taboo...

@Doc: no idea how you could forget it Yea, Aya plays the part very nice The guy who plays as the gay guy was very convincing, really did think he a gay guy.

Story

That's the thing. Enau's post is the closest thing I've ever heard of a gay Jdorama. All the other ones just have roles.
