Vocalist of rock band Glay faces charges over traffic accident.
Vocalist Teru of the popular rock band Glay.Teru, the vocalist of the popular Japanese rock band Glay, hit a female cyclist while driving in Tokyo earlier this month, injuring her, it has been learned.
Metropolitan Police Department officials at Meguro Police Station believe the accident occurred because the singer wasn't paying attention to the road in front of him. They plan to send documents to public prosecutors accusing him of negligent driving resulting in injuries.
Investigators said Teru, 36, whose real name is Teruhiko Kobashi, was turning right at an intersection in Tokyo's Meguro-ku at about 8:55 a.m. on Dec. 7 when he hit a bicycle. The woman riding the bicycle, aged in her 20s, fell off and injured her left knee.
