Celine Dion should be number 2.
Conor Oberst. My sister met him years ago when Bright Eyes were openers to the then popular French band Tahiti 80 (who were incidentally huuuuuuge in Japan).
Herefs what happened: My sister (fairly good-looking) and her (average, slightly overweight) friend were standing next to Conor Oberst and the not-so-pretty friend complemented him on his band and his music. He ignored the poor girl, smiled at my sister and thanked her for the compliment, offering her a drink. My sister just went like: I didn't say a thing, bye!

LOL. dang, that totally made him look like a total douche bag.
Eh? is she that bad? (Celine Dion, not your sister's friend)
I always thought she was o-k. Do canadians like, adore Celine? It'd be so funny if Wyn suddenly cracked. _________________
I respect Epik High a lot because their music is very meaningful. Very different from a lot of stuff that's being put out there. They don't try to sugarcoat their lyrics but rather they express their views in a very straightforward kind of way. _________________
I had no idea that the title of this thread changed. Here I am for 20 minutes looking for the other title. Oops.
We changed it because people just posted stuff incessantly like spam (yeah, I'm guilty myself)... With the new title change, maybe they'll be more discussion...

@topic:
currently listening at Busta Rhymes featuring Linkin Park - We Made It
im not really familiar in Busta's music. it's my first time hearing it.. and it was fast.. it's really hard to understand his rapping.. Jay-Z is much better.. glad Linkin Park saves the chorus part.
this song is also the theme in today's NBA Playoffs conference finals on TNT. _________________
The intros to sports events nowadays are ridiculous, particularly basketball...
Talk about an excessive, overblown, chest-beating pile of crap...
There was an article somewhere in ESPN about the guy who made it a point to go to all the NBA arenas in one season, and there was this small part in the article about how he felt they always played the same music regardless of where he was.
Of course, given it's a sporting event, it's either the really popular crap (er, the Pussycat Dolls the last playoffs?!?), or something that's remotely analogous to competition... **hears the opening of Daft Punk's Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger...

Not surprised in the least.
David Stern is so concerned about the NBA's image, yet he allows this overblown pomp and circumstance to precede the games and rile up the semi-drunken spectators... How about classing things up and showing some diginity, David? Or is it all about the bottom line to you?

He does want the game to become something of a spectacle... something you'd pay to see live, rather than watch on TV.
There was all the fuss about him cracking down on the image of the players, though. All suits! It's a business!
And didn't they get tighter on the beer just because of the whole Artest fiasco?
same here...
