Hot temperatures, low humidity, and gusty winds have played havoc down here. Yesterday was insane--outbreak of nine fires, seven in North County. Several of the larger ones continue to burn with only limited containment today.

They said there's going to be a "hard freeze" in Florida tonight. Aren't all freezes hard? The only time I've seen a soft freeze is on an ice cream cone.
