Hi hi! Okay I can make more comments. For the ones listed on your new message I liked 2, 3, 4, and 6 the best. Shota No Sushi is a really well made dorama, not really about relationships too much, mostly about...ta da..sushi! It made me hungry watching iy, but it was also nice to see a dorama that almost had every scene with that very kawaii Takashi Kashiwabara! No3 is great because Koichi kun is very fine in it and I thought there was good chemistry between him and Asata Seto. Hakusen is wonderful and almost everyone loves it, the big cast is really good and the situations are very real for the members of the school friends and Nagase kun, who is the lone outsider. Same for 6, as Koichi kun really gets to act serious in this. The relationship with him and his brother, who has a disability, is very well written and it will make you feel lots of emotions and cry.
I saw Love Revolution and it was okay, but I would not buy it. I have Aiken but have not watched it yet, as I have heard it isn't too good. I also have Big Wing but since I may be getting it with subtitles soon, I am waiting to watch it. I like Oda Yuji but Rocket Boy did very poorly, so I haven't bothered to watch it.
Gomen! Yes, I really liked IWGP, but as to the story..? I can only guess as I don't know Japanese! I think it is the kind of story that is very creative visually, so even if you watch it you will pretty much understand it.
BTW, I just watched I'll Be Back with Tsuyoshi Domoto and ~wow~ that was very, very good! Tsuyo-chan did it right after To Heart so he still had that lean and muscle look, and was sooo kakkoi!! Also, the story was funky and moving. Good effects and music, etc.
i have a hypothesis abt it, which i figured out after some time...and also after watching the film which preceded the dorama. wish i can watch the series again to verify my hypothesis.
it goes like this. for the past deaths, the bad Yuka had first whispered some hypnotic curse (which included the 'triggering factor') on the victim (who would be someone who is, or so she thinks is, trying to take advantage of her). then the triggering factor happened (be it a phrase spoken or heard or a tragically memorable event that make the victim guilt-stricken), and the curse is effected. the victim dies.
for the good yuka, when she realised what was happening, she realised that the bad Yuka must 'die' in order to save Saga. Otherwise, the bad Yuka will kill Saga to exact revenge for deceiving and abandoning her in her childhood days. but the bad Yuka will only die if the good (and real) yuka dies too.
so in the toilet scene in the last episode, as the good Yuka was talking to the bad Yuka, the former decided to commit suicide to end all the troubles. So she put the hypnotic curse upon herself. The triggering factor in her own case must have been something to do with butterflies. Otherwise, the good Yuka wouldn't have tried to run to see the butterfly specimen in the second floor of the museum in order to kill herself.
you might remember that in her childhood days, Saga first met her when she was hitting a butterfly with a stone. i think the evil spirit of the butterfly somehow managed to possess the good Yuka and manipulated the bad feelings within Yuka in a bid to exact revenge upon Yuka. so then it is apt that the good Yuka should use butterfly as the triggering factor when she hypnotised herself..cos' butterfly is representative of a very tragic and unhappy past experience which does make Yuka guilt-stricken.
Confusing, ne? But that is what I think happened....any comments?

Hi minnasan,
This drama '101 Proposals',I think many of you have already seen.
But,I feel still can be recommanded here for those who have not seen.
It cause such a big impact and was so famous in Japan when cast in 1991.With the famous song title 'Say Yes' by Chage and Askka.
The drama Bus Stop was a second big hit after '101 Proposals'
If you like Bus Stop ,I'm sure you going to love this one.
This drama was cast by the main male lead "Takeda Tetsuya" and female lead "Asano Atsuko",and Eguchi Yosuke.
Takeda performance in this drama is excellent.
Scenes were touching as well. It's a romantic love story.Takeda portrays as an ordinary and not so good-looking guy character. And how he manage to do many things to win Asano heart and making her feel touched.
Worth watching if anyone has not seen this drama yet.I would give the rate 9/10 for this drama.
The only one that I have seen that you have listed is Kabachitare. I personally liked the drama very much. I am just now learning japanese but the situations and humor are very easy to understand. I hope that this helps.

i loved 29th xmas. I watched it like a zillion times. One of my fave actors is nakamura toru/ Although he usually acts as a bad guy, i still think he is sooooo cool!!! The show was really interesting...the exciting pursuit of yamaguchi by nakamura and the comradarie among her close friends. Excellent!!

I hope you enjoy it as much as I am. :)
BTW, when you said that you "like the melody too, sounds like a combination tune from 'Unchained Melody' & 'Christmas Carol'!",
did you mean you like the theme/opening song of "29th Christmas" ?
Well, if that's what you mean,
I do also love that song.
It's a song by Mariah Carey with the title
"ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS YOU" (*wow**romantic*).
Everytime I heared this song,
my mood goes better and makes me wanna dance. LOL !
Thanks
